When clicking the "people" icon you´re supposed to see a drop-down menu with who´s online, but unfortunately that doesn´t work in Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox, neither does the popup chat. To access that information leaves you with the choice to use the IE, Opera or another browser that support it. I am using Opera 7.51, and that´s a fast and reliable browser imo.
