Since you are not naming an application I guess you mean the windows sounds. To turn them off or change them go to "Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices" and then the tab "Sounds".

Sorry aboyt that. I forgot to say that I downloaded a windowblinds skin and when i minimize windows in internet explorer and stuff it makes little sounds and was just wondering if there was a way to turn the sounds off that came with the skin.

doubleclick the Windowblinds icon in the system tray to open the Windowblinds Configuration Click ´Basic Settings´ Locate and uncheck ´Use skin sounds (if any)´ Close Bingo no more horrid sounds :)
