Hi Toby, I believe that the camera does not make the photographer, but I also believe that when shopping for such an equipment, one has to know the equipment that suits best he´s/her´s needs. When shopping for a film camera, things were much easier, as image quality only depended on optics and then on the kind of film used. Besdies that, I always wanted thought material, and I decided at that time that Nikon was the best choice for myself. And I was not wrong, as it was indeed ( despite I remenbered that when buying my first SLR, I was looking for a Minolta SRT 303b but ended to buy a Nikkormat FT3 ). Today things are much more complex as besides optics and roughness, electronics , sensors and image processing inside the camera are crucial for the final result of the work. So, we need to know in depth how all these components afects the final result and understand why. Thanks for your participation |O|
