I´m always willing to lend a helping hand... thanks Nikos for stopping by!! :Happy
Nice idea Fred... if I might add my tuppence worth.

Since you own a computer, and found your way to the best skin site on the web, it is assumed that you understand the idea that your computer is a machine that allows you to interact with a given program via a GUI ( graphical user interface ). To that end, in order for the GUI - the skin you like the look of - to function it is necessary to have the relevant software installed on your computer.

More simply put... if you would like your computer to have the appearance of something you see on Skinbase, first check that you have the program installed.

When you click on something that is software specific ( i.e. Rainlender, Sysmetrix, Aston etc. ) look at the title of the piece on its´ individual page. If it says something like "For Sysmetrix Skins" and you do not have Sysmetrix on your computer it is obviously not going to be any use to you unless you first download and install that program.

If you haven´t got a particular program click on the applications name ( in this case Sysmetrix Skins ) and look for the icon of a magnifying glass over a page with a folded corner... that is the link to the programs Homepage where you will find the relevant information about what it is, what it does, and what you have to do to download & install it.

If you decide you want that software on your pc, go for it! Only then does it make sense to download and install the skin that you saw and liked.

Then you get the bug and start making skins yourself 😂
