Hi Arthur, that´s a very good idea. It does get a bit confusing if you are uploading to a few different sites. I just called in to see what has been happening while I have been away. Be back soon. Jan :brb

I have been uploading to 3 sites. I have decided to take it down to two. It gets crazy keeping track of 3 and there is not enough time in the day... I won´t mention the other - but one of them that I am staying on board with is SB. :-)

Basehead and SB are enough for me... What Artur I believe is saying is he has a dedication to his OWN site dealing in PHOTOGRAPHY only. And will be a great addition to a Photosharing site where he can be recognized by his peers (if there are any) and TALK SHOP with other shutter-bugs. He always will be popping in, I´m sure. Get us your address when you are established.... But I doubt there is someone as Loveable or Genius as you! :aw |O|

Well, "bro" Sed said it all. As I´ve said, I want to dedicate myself to my own site, being that there are 3 sites where I want to upload only for sharing purposes: first SB - my first choice, although is not a 100% photosite, is the one of my choice because of the members it has. Then I have photo-net, the biggest photosharing site in the world, where I upload as here at SB: 1 capture at a time, although I had all my gallery there, but deleted it also. And then UniqueExposures - from Barb (Xerraire) - a 100% photo dedicated site - where I have part of my gallery - ready also for deletion - as I want to be fair to all and act equally with all sites. At the end, and I am being very honest, SB is still the place where I do know the friendliest people and where I feel " there is a kind of family". Happy Easter to all. |O|

I understand perfectly what you mean Artur. For reasons different than you, I never leave a sizable amount of my work on ANY site. I just don´t do it. I will occasionally "Clean House" and start fresh. I just did that on a site that I share on. I eventually may start my own site as well, you have a real GEM there. Very clean in design, and easy to navigate - unlike some I´ve dealt with (for a very brief time I might add)

I share here at SB for the friends I have made, nothing more. I´m not here or anywhere to impress or to compete as some seem to like to do, only to SHARE. If people like my work, I´m blessed to have known it. If not - that is fine, as I know my photography is a work in progress and with that some work will always be better than other. UE (which I was going to eliminate for sharing) but have decided against it) seems to be a smaller but dedicated site for photography that I enjoy very much. (there, I mentioned it!) The members there seem to be more technically geared around photography - and that is NOT to take away a single thing from the great members here. UE is a "Specialty Site" with its members sharing one specialty - photography. So, with that - they are more likely to critique work. Here, its a more spread out and rounded skill base - with skinning (which I do not do) wallpapers (don´t do that either) and finally photography (which I do) Its the third component to the mix here that I enjoy contributing to and will continue to do so moving forward. Renderosity is the third site that is a huge sharing site that I also am enjoying part of. So, you can say that I am busy sharing these days. Actually, its a great hobby and passion to have.

Most of all - just enjoy what you do and do your best with it! |O|

Thanks Fred for your comments about my site. I´ve made it simple and straightforward and its nice to hear that people enjoy to visit GT. As for sharing, it´s interesting how the same capture can have different approaches of opinions in 3 different sites - in my case the only where I share and you not is photo.net, being that I am not at Renderosity. And although SB, UE and PN are completely different sites, I upload for sharing, not to compete, as photography in my view is not passive of being a competition. All comments are valuable for myself, either less or more tecnical ones, all deserve my attention and gratitude, although there are some comments - the "pseudo-tech" ones - that sometimes do make me laugh, specially one I received in a site - not here - regarding one of my last submissions. At someone´s view,well...I should have take the shot and then to take out all the bits and pieces that makes it...an interesting capture. But...we all are different. |O|
