I´m not sure about that either. Hopefully you can just submit the skin and it´s automatically in each category? I have read that theoretically you can win more than once with the same skin. So you must be able to be in more than one section obviously.

But now Frogboy has an icon here his true identity is revealed ;) He´s Luke´s father!!!! :D
Frogboy, it looks fair to me as always... ;)

The only think that is strange to me is the categories, I really don´t know in which category I must upload my skins. The skins are skins, who is choosing the category, me or GUI OLYMPICS ?
It´s one of those trade off issues.

IF you didn´t allow people to update, you would basically have to have a rule that stated something like "All skins must be submitted and are final by the time the first event comes up."

The problem is that the first event is something like Feb 20. The final event is roughly March 25. So the effect would be that all skins would have to be completely in the next 3 weeks and then we´d have another 4 weeks of just waiting for judgement and such.

This would be problematic because as you know, making skins takes a long time. Our main desire was to have as much lead time as possible so that even if someone only finds out about the contest on say Feb 15th, they can at least get a skin in by March 15 (4 weeks to start and create their skin) and be eligible for the last couple of events.

BUT, by doing that, we have to allow people to update their skins otherwise it leaves a loophole where people would just submit new skins that were just upgrades to their existing skins.

Trust me, we really gave a lot of thought to that issue. While it may not seem like it at times, the rules weren´t done haphazardly. A lot of debating and discussion went on in trying to come up with something that was fair to as many people as possible.

The counter balance to the concern you have is that judges, in theory, can be watching the event and see if someone basically just starts stealing ideas from other skinners and take that into account when voting. In reality though, this is not likely to be a real issue. We´ve done WB skin contests in the past and it´s never been a problem.
