I have recieved that dang magistr virus in the email all the time " without" an email attachment...... but my AVP plantinum pro gets it right away, and have zone alarm sometimes grbs it first to warn me, but I also now have "mailwasher" too, you can never protect your computer to much these days :-) I feel for you, but thanks for the warning
some times in the real world life sucks, but lately in the cyber world is getting as bad........ by the virus, what better time then the time with a contest, to send some one a virus! BEWARE of your email

I had the nimda virus. Now I don´t but it´s a slow road back as I have reinstalled my OS. Win2K this time :) <BR> <BR>Now to get my drivers updated. I have no sound!!!!!
OK, let me just say this... again. Most of the viruses are designed to ´kill´ computers. In effect, the people who design and spread Viruses are just ´terrorists´. No, they are not Elite like Hollywood tries to portray them in the movies. I repeat, they are ´TERRORISTS´ and the scum of the earth becuase they attack at random and have no concern for any computer. They spread cyber terror and should be put down like wild dogs. <BR> <BR>I don´t care if they are 14, 15 or 98 yold... I would still make a mandatory sentence of shoving their computers up their ass. Now I know that would hurt a lot but it would make ´others´ think twice before becoming terrorists. <BR> <BR>Dob in a Hacker!!!!!
Right now I can tell you I feel that way too. I´m just glad my assignment was completed the day before this happened. Or I´d be REALLY pissed.
adni18 various things can happen on different computers, its like your computer playing games with your programs, delete files on your hard drive so nothing works, remove your browser, taskbar etc. I ve been told when you get infected by the virus scarebear just got or the l-Worm.Magistr you have to "reformat" your hard drive twice over or it will lay dorment and come back later and bite you again :-( <BR> <BR>Because I´m a lady :-) I´ll just say I agree with what grimspoon said ........
Anyone remember the good old days when we had _real_ viruses like exebug.? Looks like everyone and their grandmothers are writing these lame script viruses (worms actually).
/yawn/... yeah, worms man.. they cause cancer you know. lol <BR>Hey, but isn´t it true.. the only way we catch ´real´ viruses and bugs is through close contact. It´s the same on the NET now.. I say don´t shake hands (use emails) and wear gloves (firewalls) <BR>8)

Thank you chichigirl46, <BR>I know well what a virus can do, I am using computers long before the Microsoft Windows..... not for my job, just for the fun of it! Can you believe that? I just change 7 months ago the subject of interesting and here I am as adni18, you know... <BR>I just wanted to know if there are any new symptoms, because I never use Antivirus stuff, I hate theme, in the reality they never give you real protection. I am getting about 5-10 viruses everyday to my e-mail, but who cares ;)

Well, I´m back in Win98 because Win2K won´t accept my soundcard. And I can´t use the "I´m listening to" thread without that! ;) <BR> <BR>My first task was reinstalling my antivirus, next was the firewall. Now to download EzPop again :)
