gRAVE is not shutting down the site. He tried to upgrade the site to make it faster and with more space for newer uploads etc. However, some of the new hardware is not working properly (last I spoke to gRAVE anyhow) and it´s causing the problems Skinbase is having. gRAVE was looking into getting the hardware fixed/replaced last I knew. <br /> <br />gRAVE does not live on this site and he isn´t normally aware of the problem until someone lets him know (like a fellow admin or basehead emailing him).

Looks like Hob almost lost is mind while Skinbase was down. IS it because he as no choice and spend some time with his ChiChi?
Well my concern is simply this.... If gRAVE is going to upgrade the site all the power to him..... Just let someone know... Instead of just shutting down the site with NO explanation..... I say if he wants to upgrade for a week fine any dandy... take the week and get what needs to be done....done..... But at least give the people that support the site a little info.... That is all I´ve got say on this subject....

"if Skinbase goes down permanently" - im pretty sure when I claim that, that is <b>not</b> an option! :) <br />I just think that the server can´t handle the new surge in visitors, which off course is a good thing for us, but kinda "bad" for the server! <br />If im wrong here, please correct me, cause it might just be a whole diff problem! :)
I feel an explanation is due.... This is the second weekend that this site has been down. I can understand if it is a bandwidth problem or just maintenance... Just give us a clue as to what to expect.. Maybe we can help.... But just closing the site without saying anything makes people wonder.... and I am wondering where Skinbase is headed.... I do like this site... Its the BEST in the community!!! I get a lot of relaxation here and it gives me a chance to unwind if you will..... after a full day of work.. The people here are the friendliest I have found and would miss everyone of them if Skinbase goes down permanently... I do not think I am "overboard" here, I´m just looking for an answer.....

I got the destinct feeling that the Skinbase server can´t handle the huge amount of visitors we´re been having lately :/ <br />Might be it, might not be.... im just guessing.
