There really isn´t one designed closely to notepad. <br />Everyone adds a gimic. -.-; <br />I use metapad, even though it isn´t skinnable. <br />You can hack the tool bar though. :evil <br />Know how to use reshacker? <br /> <br />When Base2 comes back, MyPad should be just what you are looking for though.
