Where does the news appear after you have filled in the add news form.

I have installed these and have problems. <br />News manager went ok but the magazine side says all sorts of things and won&acute;t connect to database? <br /> <br />Even though I have edited the route to it like install says? <br /> <br />Any ideas? :-(

I instaled newman but when i was trying to install webmag all sort of error messagess started to showing up. <br />Can somebody explain me what to do and how to register globals off and where ? <br />I am hosted on host.sk (http://www.host.sk) free hosting. <br />Thanks in advance. :-(

I was trying out phpnewsmanager 1.40 and phpWebMag ang got a few questions. <br /> <br />1. How do i insert photos in news articles? <br />2. What&acute;s the use of Public News? It calls news.php and when i tried adding news through it nothing shows in the statistics.

Hello. <br />I&acute;m 100%, completely new to Apache, PHP, and mysql. I&acute;ve been fooling around with different scripts and everything and have gotten some to work. Currently, I want to get this phpNewsManager to work, but I don&acute;t know how to set permissions on the folders/files. (the 777 and 666). I just uploaded phpNewsManager & phpWebMagazine and everything works fine except the photos <br />this is the directory list: <br />in the Main Dir I have a NEWMAN directory and a MAGAZINE directory <br />if I enter a news I can see the news but not the uploaded picture... <br />this is the path that the picture follows: <br />FC/magazine/gfx/news/canale.gif <br />but the photo has been actually uploaded in this directory <br />FC/news/gfx/news/canale.gif <br /> <br />I think I made a mistake in the configuration... <br />How to change it ???

Problem: after uploading pictures, pictures load into newsman folder, but not in manager folder. So manager is not showing picture. <br />I&acute;ve checked the db.inc.file but everything seems to b fine,there&acute;s no path pointing to manager directory. Hi, I have downloaded your software to try it out for a new site of mine. I successfully installed everything to the server and managed your instructions fairly easily. phpNewsManager and phpWebMagazine don&acute;t work together! <br /> <br />The recommended installation of NewsManager seems to be one directory deeper than WebMagazine in a directory named &acute;newman&acute;. <br /> <br />WebMagazine has problems if it is not installed in the same directory as WebMagazine. Images that can be previewed while making an article in NewsManager can&acute;t be seen when looking at the same article in WebMagazine. <br /> <br />In WebMagazine paths to items such as subscribe.php are incorrect. <br /> <br />Install both NewsManager and WebMagazine in the same directory and you can&acute;t access NewsManager. <br /> <br />Change the paths on setup and there are even more problems. It seems NewsManager and WebMagazine really need to exist in the same directory. <br /> <br />Why aren&acute;t these programs packaged as one system that is ready to run after on installation? <br /> <br />Eric

phpNewsManager and phpWebMagazine should work :) All you have to do in phpWebMagazine is to correct path where db.inc.php appears. And if you write in db.inc.php paths like ./ then of course won&acute;t work :) You have to use full paths. <br /> <br />Or use second solution copy db.inc.php into phpWebMagazine folder and edit path as should be. <br /> <br />They&acute;re seperated project :)

arun: your problem is that you havent write right information (username, password or database name) into your db.inc.php (or during install). Check also if you setup permission to 666 during installation, otherwise db.inc.php will be empty.

Also the link isn&acute;t correct.
