I had a problem with the post and I stated my problem. I had a comment to make and made it. Both, in my estimation, are my perogative. I&acute;m not judging anybody, simply stating my observations and feelings.

a side from all the personal stuff that&acute;s involved in this issue .. and it looks like there&acute;s a lot of it .. isn&acute;t it the point that your work can be ripped by anybody and just be uploaded without any restriction ? <br />what happened to her might happen to everybody and even the fact that your work is well known and it&acute;s plain to see that that&acute;s your stuff won&acute;t protect you. I think that something like that happening in a community who is build on trust is terrible.. it&acute;s so much more than just ripping a couple of files and stuff

Exactly. ACCORDING TO CHICHIGIRL the skins in question are a collaboration. She said so herself in another post: 50% by her, 50% by John Grudger. <br /> <br />WinCustomize isn&acute;t a court. It&acute;s between HER and HIM. One assumes that they are adults who can resolve this on their own. <br /> <br />What I find interesting is the amazing free pass some people give to her behavior. What the hell does her issue with John Grudger have to do with me? On WinCustomize, we don&acute;t tolerate personal attacks. That is why ChiChiGirl is banned there. <br /> <br />Think about it: ChiChiGirl was a leading WindowBlinds skin author. Why on Earth would we go out of our way to ban her? It required an immense amount of bad behavior on her part over a long period of time to eat up all the good will that she had built up. Once people grew weary of her incestant attacks on people, we finally banned her. Now she is here, doing the same thing. <br /> <br />Trying to paint her out as a victim is ridiculous. No one (certainly not me) has taken &quot;advantage&quot; of her. A skin author named John Grudger and her worked on some skins together. He claims the right to submit them. She claims he doesn&acute;t have that right. She doesn&acute;t claim to own the skins, only that she helped make them with him (&quot;50-50&quot;). <br /> <br />You can debate all you want about whether he or she has the right to distribute said skins. But what SHOULDN&acute;T be open to debate is that it is wrong wrong wrong for ChiChiGirl to be attacking me personally. Last time I checked, I was a member of this community too. Do I deserve to have post after post attacking me personally? And attacking me over what? Because I won&acute;t personally intervene and act as judge and jury on this? And what if I did? If she really has a problem with Mr. Grudger, she should be talking to a lawyer. Not making hysterical posts on forums attacking enemies (real and imagined). <br /> <br />Few sites are as protective of the works of skin authors as WinCustomize. We have helped skin authors countless times on issues of rips. If this were an issue of ripping, we would have stepped in and helped ChiChi despite her atrocious behavior. But it&acute;s not. It&acute;s an issue of who has the rights to post on a collaboration. <br /> <br />This issue was already discussed, at length, in another post here. At which point ChiChi claimed she was leaving forever (forever in ChiChitime apparently being a few days to return to bring up the entire thing again). <br /> <br />Whatever she needs to do, I would just prefer she leave me out of it.

When Wincustomize FIRST came to be.... It had no skins for Windowblinds.... And somewhere within your organization it was decided to MOVE the Stardock library to WC.... WITHOUT first asking permission from the skinners.... Chichigirl had no intention of joining WC for her own reasons.... When she e-mailed you, and had several discussions with you pertaining to the removal of her skins from WC you, personally, told her in no uncertain terms that &quot;You have to join WC and delete them yourself.... When she finally joined WC, it was found that there was no delete button... Frustrated, She went to the nearest form of communication... The Forum Board at WC... and voiced her dilemma..... You denied any contact with her through e-mails... When she posted the headers of the correspondence.... You then personally, removed her skins from WC.. Then you proceeded to follow her to another site and verbally continued to flame her... I might add that this original thread at WC continued to flame her for 3 days.... <br /> <br />You are now trying to draw a fine line as to where &quot;collaboration&quot; of skins and/or giving credit where credit is due.... Example...When Chichi was making a skin for WXP and had a bug in the coding , She asked David K if he could find out what my problem was... David found the error and was corrected.... The fact after all we have read, is that John Grudger has the right to upload his work, but he has <b>no right</b> to claim that those works are only his, because he didn&acute;t mentioned that those works are coming from a collaboration with chichigirl. <br /> <br />Of course, no one has the right to attack and insult other members of the skinning community in public. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

bmetelsky- <br /> <br />chichi is a respected member of the community and always has been. it&acute;s sick what they&acute;ve done to her, and while some of her comments may seem a bit out of line, i&acute;m sure you would feel the same way if someone has ripped you off in the same way. chichi just wants justice and this is the only way she can hope to get it right now. please understand that she has brutally been taken advantage of, and don&acute;t judge her too severly.

On a different note....what exactly do the Page numbers actually do...as I cannot see any change in the thread when clicked....is &acute;1&acute; newer or older than &acute;3&acute;?...;)

1 are the newest posts, 3 the oldest. The first post will always be shown regardless of what page you&acute;re on, so that can be confusing. Works quite well once you get used to it, though.

what does John Grudger say on this issue btw.? no matter what WCs policy on this is, he´s at least an asshole if he distributes 50/50 collaborations without consent of the other party. <br />i have to admit that i am not sure if it´s really 50/50, 10/90, 80/20 or whatever.

Well moshi, to answer your questions, if you have read any of the threads prior to this one, then you should already know why I&acute;m posting here, so your answers to your questions are in the threads that you seem to have no interest in, but it&acute;s sad if one skinner gets ripped, then it opens the door for others to get ripped of their hard work, so I hope it never happens to your skins and to be humiliated by others because I speak up for what is my work and for what is the right thing to do...... Sorry if I offend or disappoint you, but I have put up with a lot...........

Thanks Doreen for caring and standing up for what is right, but I have been humiliated to much by a certain breed of people that I call followers, and some that don&acute;t have enough hair on their backside to stand up for what is the right thing to do......... as WC continues to upload more skins with my work in them, the community will know what has chichigirl&acute;s work in them.......... No one can ever say I did not stand up for skinners rights or rules in the community, If I have ever stepped on any one&acute;s toes, I have always apologized for it......... I never have ever talked nasty to Angela/KarmaGirl privately through emails or through customer service, I have always been nice to her and she has always been nice to me, But Brad you go ahead and have fun on the message boards by humiliating me if that&acute;s what makes you feel like a big man, but twist this Brad, I&acute;m sure you&acute;ll figure out a way to do it, I still have not received my refund......... you have taken my monies, you have taken my Object Desktop, you have taken my pride, and now taking skins that have my work in them too........ The issue that I have Chichigirl, is that once again you post inflammatory crap - first about WC in general, then about a &quot;certain breed of people&quot; with &quot;hairless backs&quot;, and then another attack directed toward Brad/Frogboy. <br /> <br />For your sake, get some help. You had a post not long ago about this very topic and you stated you were &quot;leaving&quot;. Now you come back spewing emotion all over the place. That is not necessary or productive. It is pure ugly. I don&acute;t feel sorry for you - it appears that you are reaping the rewards of your choices. Maybe a real break from the message boards would be healthy.
