Oh, I don´t know. You never see them anyway, so they wouldn´t be missed.

there is indeed a skinbase faq, borsti! it´s just that i haven´t got grave to actually put links to it one the site!!!! =(

http://www.feruche.com/faqfaq.html

i know that there is no extensive answer to this downloading problem, but it does tell you that pop-up blockers are typically the culprit!

New here. How does one download Wallpapers for example? Nice looking site, but very extensive. Thanks!

the MIME thing is something extra. should be addressed as well one day for web standards sake.

try rightclick -> save target as (or whatever it says in mozilly)

If it indeed was a MIME thingy problem, everyone would have that exact problem and in the four years I´ve been here at Skinbase I´ve never had any problems downloading anything.

I´m using the Mozilla.org - Firebird, wich has an build in popup blocker. It usually shows up, when it blocked some popups. But not in this site. :,

So I thought till now the same as allready mensioned above. The site sucks. And there was no FAQ telling something about download problems. In my brother the site just does a reload, so I thought it might have bin a copy paste error by the html programmer.

Besides that, this site is very nice!
Ok, now I´ll be back more often.

Ah, now I know who to bug for help.

I have never downloaded anything here (surprise surprise), so I haven´t experienced that problem. Maybe gRAVE can shed some light on it.

moshi: if you ever get any further mails about Skinbase and any of its functions, just forward them to me or any other admin.
Theres really no need for you to "be hung up" like that! :)

jim: while it´s great that you have no problems, that´s not really the point. most users won´t even realize the popup-blocker is the problem, nor do they use the message board here.
crae: you might not see them, but some of them write me letters. maybe i just became tired of being a helpdesk not only for applications but for websites as well.

My firewall is configurable, so that even though it incorporates a pop-up blocker, I can tell it to allow pop-ups on a per site basis.... no problems here mate... :]

If you´re logged in while you´re trying to download something then there will be direct link to file.

I agree with you moshi, you are right.
If gRAVE has make this for purpose, then, I guess, that he will place a permanent notice about it at the home page.

Thats funny, I use a pop-up blocker with no problems. I suggest you configure your application before blamming this site.

not at all. no account+popup blocker = no download. but why should anyone bother to create an account at a website that does not work? especially when the only place this is explained is this message board thread?
