Some time ago gRAVE found out that a certain site was linking directly to our download script, sucking up massive amounts of bandwidth. <br /> <br />If this "feature" keeps people not logged in from downloading files, that really isnt <b>our</b> problem, is it?! <br />How long does it take to create an account? 30 sec? <br />If that is far too long for people to spend, well.... <b>tough</b>! <br /> <br />So dont "blame" gRAVE for the way he has coded his own site, blame those that doesnt support the site by creating an account and/or are useing poorly made/set up popupblockers.

being a moderator on a forum for newbies in computerstuff in general i can understand both .. on one hand there´s the mod/admin who has to answer the same question over and over again .. which can be very tiresome (is this right .. i mean that it puts you to sleep) <br />and on the other hand there´s the member who just doesn´t understand .. probably not the first one and not the last one .. <br /> <br />sometimes it´s just hard to find middleground .. <br /> <br />reflecting on what you said often leaves you with the knwledge that you could have said something better,slightly different, maybe a little bit nicer .. <br /> <br />but lets get real .. some people just won´t look at the faq´s or browse topics that report about the same problem, they just blurt it out <br /> <br />and even an admin is only human ;)

nope the moshi guy has been around skindom for a long while and is pretty well known, but moussie is right about ppl not reading FAQ´s (me is one of them) =) <br />and about ppl getting frustrated and all that other fun stuff... <br /> <br />anyways, it seems everything is probably okay (I would have missed him if he did leave he is a big contributer to the scene)

Well...that´s strange here...I didn´t know, that to try helping someone, will gave so negative respond. <br />..and if noone wan´t here, that someone tell him,what should be repaired or changed or be done better, that people would not have so much trouble with the site anymore ( meanning like a friendly advice and not to tell someone how to run the site!!!!!!).......why the hell u have the WEEKLY POLL then, with such questions...YOU DON"T CARE ANYWAY...like u can see in Snowman´s answer...

Well I feel that moshi has a very good point here... His actions took into consideration the "newbie" and was chastised by the admins... Why?? I can understand that the admins have a lot to look at during their tour of the site... and at times it can get very frustrating for them... but to chastise a regular at this site... is a bit more than I can fathom... <br /> <br />Just what does FN0F mean.... (if you would like to clarify that addition to this thread} I´m sure that is has a meaning that would clarify the positon of what the admins are trying to let us know about their feelings... therefore, all of us would have a true understanding of how this thread is being treated. <br /> <br />I´m totally appalled by the things being said here and if you are any kind of administrator Snowman... You should close this thread, as you have in the past, for lesser reasons.....

nikuki: gRAVE is right not to make the FAQ visible on the site. maybe the downloading problem thing is not the only place where it gives wrong or misleading information ... what you discribe, solves the problem that the site is not web standards compliant (MIME types, etc.). <br />i have understood the message that it is for some reason annoying for the admins to discuss site problems. iĀ“ll just use the site as a storage from now on. <br />that IRC thing hit a nail, didnĀ“t it? ;) <br />
