?? What´s your point? If the artist want to offer there stuff as printable, they can approach you. In return, revenue is split between you and the artist. Nothing wrong with that, right?
The point is that I just wanted to let you guys know what we are doing after Jason put up the Poll questions. Regardless if this is a good idea or not, we did not initialy decided to print images just beacuse it would be a good revenue option when we don´t even know yet if it will be. We kinda printed them cause we beleived that they were pieces of quality art and would make great prints. Sall!
Hey - as long as no one is holding a gun to my head, who cares? <BR>:P
I think craeonics summed it up perfectly. The artists can still submit to the skin sites they always have. Nothing changes for the fans of good wallpaper art. This is not some way of taking the artists from the skinning community. <BR> <BR>It is however a way for the artists to perhaps get themselves into the non-skinning community. Getting their artwork ´out there´ so to speak. It´d be good for an artists to see their work appreciated before they die like most good artists ;) <BR> <BR>And I also agree with what Mel said. Don´t cram it down anybody´s throat and it´s fine by me :) I of course love the idea or I wouldn´t be involved. <BR> <BR>I´d like to see someone explain why it´s not really a good idea.
I think it´s a great idea. I only wish I could afford to buy some of these prints. I´ve been browsing through the art over there (at Pixel Prints) and I´m just blown away by some of this stuff. Especially the special edition canvas´s by Nuvem. They are just amazing. So even though I currently can´t buy, it´s great to know that it´s availble.
Skinners who wish they could afford a print should try and enter the banner competition. They (if they win) can earn money from the sale of their own work and then use that money to buy prints. <BR> <BR>Or blow the money on other stuff too ;) <BR> <BR>Just a simple suggestion :D
