I&acute;m just reading through the 100 or so responses after the news article and I have to say I see no problem with it. you&acute;re paying for the ads to disappear (and if I had money I&acute;d sure as hell pay for that option). <BR> <BR>As for the exlusive art. That&acute;s nothing really. It&acute;s got ZERO incentive value to me. I wouldn&acute;t be surprised if one deviant joins and anothr doesn&acute;t and the art is shared around anyhow.

I don&acute;t mean to be the party pooper or start a war, but isn&acute;t that dividing the community too........ isn&acute;t that what frogboy was accused of dividing? Why not just have a page for donations to support the site and those that donate to the site get their name posted on that page? I&acute;m in favor of helping any site but if one site does this others will follow and we can&acute;t afford to join all the sites..... I don&acute;t like the idea, pay for NO banners I can see, but others don&acute;t get to see all artist&acute;s work? I have a 101 questions but I&acute;ll stop here!

I wonder how this money coming into play will effect the community, though I realize the sites need the financial help yes, ppl cannot afford to donate on each site they visit, will this put up walls between the sites? this should be interesting to see how this turns out...

one thing for &quot;Sure&quot; is if ppl got pissed off for being ripped when it was for free, wait till it starts to happen when money is involved...

That&acute;s a very good point Doreen. I know if I made an exclusive skin (that I sold myself or used for a deal like the DA one) then I&acute;d be majorly pissed to see it ripped elsewhere. <BR> <BR>But I don&acute;t see any dividing happening. You can still go to DA and use it the same. All you&acute;re losing is an extra forum for members (I am not a big forum user outside of Skinbase so that doesn&acute;t worry me) and one extra skin/wallpaper a month.

I think there certinly will be dividing, but again its just my opinion. I see already skinz.org following and charging a lower price just for the No banners then dev/art, this will divide just by setting prices and what is included in there price (price war). I think I strongly remember that many skinners accused FB of heading in this very direction now taking place, qoating something on the order- next you&acute;ll be having to pay for downloading free skins or paying at the door to enter..... if I&acute;m wrong don&acute;t throw eggs please but it does look like this is headed in that direction.... Time will tell.
