hmm seen this post at wincusto, he may get a big response hitting every site!
´Twas the exact same post, except with a different site mentioned.

Though I am a lazy bastard who hasn´t skinned in years, my ego is inflated enough to answer the questions!

1. I´d say they were customised interfaces.

2. I do (Industrial Design Engineering) and some others are in the design bizz, but most don´t and are self taught.

3. Yeah it would. It´d be the size of a stamp. It´d be (1280pixels / 300dpi) 4.7" wide, unless you were to enlarge things, but then you´d see pixels. As for what it looks like, compared to Joe User, dark grey, almost black, flat-bordered windows with a vicious bright green background and no visible taskbar and such. Completely unusable to anyone but me.

4. Never heard of such a thing. Doubt it would fly.

5. It wouldn´t change, but the bar would be raised in terms of acceptability (when you have to pay for something, it better be good, when it´s free, you don´t care about that).

6. No idea, I have no favourites. Perhaps works of the crowd´s favourites (not mine though), like Treetog, Dangeruss or Alexandrie´s or classics, like Shoggot´s Scathe suite. This assumes the exhibition is aimed at giving an overview of things, not showing the best things around. And you should display them as big printouts (but mind the pixellation and differences beween print and screen) as well as on display, so people can play around with them themselves and see how things fit together.
