For zipped skins and things like you can find in our sections for mentioned things, try this url:

http://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=187&AID=66020&u=0

(the first comments explain things there, too). Most times you have to rename things. For object dock you want to put things like png s in the zip under the IMAGES folder of object dock plus. If its a theme or background, then put it in the folder for backgrounds, then call up the program and right click over one of the docks displayed. Hit menu item dock settings, then look around for the positions like tab settings, appearance etc.

Under tab settings, for example you can then apply the background you put in the folder for backgrounds. But often it has a different name than you would expect. Lets say the background skin was named classy5 on the Skinbase download page. But in your background selection window it suddenly appears as WEIRD3. You just compare which background is new because it was not there yet before, then you know its real name.

Stardock has its own unzipping tool object zip, btw. downloadable through Stardocks own downloader SD central. This you normally use if you are a registered Object Desktop customer. Click the Object Desktop section at
http://www.stardock.com or
http://www.wincustomize.com

Another powerful tool not just for this purpose, but also capable of unzipping normal winrars, is SPEED COMMANDER 10.0

Sometimes the zips are special stardock formats, which is why normally the first link up above is helpful, you rename instead and often can install from inside the program, in fact often without renaming.
