U use Vista beta, may not work. If Xp Sp 2, what Skin did u set before restart? )); Before restart, install + apply several bootskins, then in settings select random, then save settings if necessary, preview + apply 1 of the new installed skins, then restart but 1st make restore point before restart. If no good, first select default windows skin save settings restart after making restore point (always cold start), then do 1st thing I suggested.

U might have questions/problems on INSTALLING bootskins before applying, then ask. Be SURE!! u did not select and save settings in the mode choose from library/download skins from net before restarting!

If none of that works, google for bootxp 2.5 instead, less pretty, more dangerous (always backup), easier to make own boots. For that download photoshop tutorial at http://www.joeuser.com for making own bootskin u apply with bootxp 2.5 or create bootskin in skinstudio from stardock u dithered in 16bit with irfanview or german hardcopy by siegfried weckmann.

Better try 1st way and tell us how its working before trying 2nd way :zzz ==~ bye
