Thanks. I tried that but it still did not work. Last time something was done on the server to correct the problem.

Grim did some testing a while ago with some aquarium submissions of his but it did not seem to work. This still happens to any submission if I update the preview, i. e. the zoom without uploading a different skin.
The server only puts correct new preview in if you upload a slightly altered skin or main photo AND a new preview to go with that.

Once a comments in, even by yourself, at least its too late to DELETE and then reupload. Bit by bit I will alter one or 2 descrips inside my logon skins, not the page descrip and upload em with new previews. Same happened to my screenshot. Only 3 of my 19 things need to be fixed. Rest work. Took a while to find that out. Tip - screenshots and photos should have a zip as a skin entry and a big sized version of the preview as a zoom, so 3 diff. sizes one of which is zipped.

And then only update the way I said. This also helps some normal downloaders who want a zip instead of just another zoom as a download if we are talking photolike sections and allows the server to think right.

At image shack us, same thing. Once you upload a pic and delete and reupload, you have a problem. Unless theres a cookie killer tip, but that tends to cause side effects for you AND the site.

If this does not SEEM to help, sometimes you just dont see that because of which logged in and out config. you had when uploading as to what crosslinked sites were in when uploading being remembered by your browser which then shows nothing when any crosslinked site is down or in wrong login config.
Often login out, closing browser, restarting cold, and reentering in the right mode, login or out helps which is unfortunately also in your favorites memory unless you often delete cache and temp Internet files - another hassle but cause.

Thanks TAXI :)

We are currently looking at the possibility of changing the whole procedure, starting with Submission process and finishing with Thumbnail generation, in order to make it more dynamic and reliable in the future

I tried all sorts of ways of doing this. It worked fine before but the preview image will still not load.

Here´s the error message when trying to show the preview.

Warning: getimagesize(/opt/www/virtual/skinbase/files/shots/GuadalupeElena1): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/www/virtual/skinbase/manul.php on line 170
At image shack I could then log out, exit FTP instead of http style, and then had to wait another day or 2 or login http, wait a day, log out http, wait another day, things not working fixed, sometimes other things tricky because I did that. Just hacker approaches til general procedure fixed. Cleanest thing would be removing your entire ID and submissions and reentering ALL of em ALTERED unter a NEW ID DIFFERENT. Dont do that, makes everyone }:( hey new smilies

No I don´t plan on doing that taxi. It certainly appears to be an issue with the server judging by the error message. Perhaps it just does not upload correctly. I use the same procedure for all of my submissions and only had problems with two. The first one was fixed on the server. perhaps (manul.php) should read (manual.php)? Just a guess.

Rod

Not a bad idea. Will soon be irrelevant. On the other hand, a directory called manul could still be working correctly if assigned right. We will see. Worth trying though, which is not up to us

I think I have solved the issue. There seems to be some problem with the filename being too long. I found out if I shortened the file name it would post the preview! Whatever...it´s always something easy that seems to cause the most problems. LOL

found out today that the preview upload does not like numbers in the file name either...
