I for one would be happy about the skins being moderated. Maybe even if just to check the content. I think everyone has a right to have their work posted, good or bad. Besides beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am not a prude, but that was not something I wanted to see.

What I have now is internal messenger accounts and a bit more contact with the admins who have the codes + permission. Plus I have projects to work on like a new SkinMag, other Skinbase sites from design and pr aspects, but all of that is monitored and I applied later than Alfa. So I am not in the staff list yet which will be redesigned soon anyway, and considering we have good experienced head admins with the official power and passwords like Snowman, Adni, Jerry, and the owner of course, plus more and things were working basically plus some preferred no moderation, in the past, there was no reason to press giving all new trainees the full power just like that. In fact, I was also waiting till I had set up a special user messenger account I wasnt sure I could give out these days without having to change it each week. But that is not a major problem any more. I was even thinking I might not need full power anyway if I was more into news, communication, and such. We will see. <br /> <br />Dont know exactly what codes Alfa has, I was trying to mind my own business, but he was offline, I tried. <br /> <br />Basically I was still in a training phase and the staff list page will be redesigned. These things do take a while. The admins have been working on many subsites and only few of them do it for money so it is something we will definately change with the means and TIME we have together. Thanks for user help meanwhile, too. This is something I think is good. Next year we will probably be asking all of you about this. I had suggested several of you for admins btw. Of course training of new people is another of the many things the elder leaders have to do bit by bit on the side. In my eyes, if more of you were willing to take part in special areas and everyone wanted that including who runs the site, users, and the partners of them, and we had things split up for that later, it could help when other guys are busy. <br /> <br />

I agree Tobe ;) only a friendly moderation which could be there for respect of guidelines of Skinbase and may be a limit of uploads per day (the question as been mentioned by the past). <br />It is what I suggest.

Hey Joost :) this is not the first time that a stupid (trying to stay polite ...) man upload shocking images, on each time, admins act as fast as possible but images stay on line a few minutes. Do we need moderation before showing submission, I think it&acute;s now necesssary. Yes it violates general lines of our TOS equivalent. Joost and I uploaded other things to get it off 1st page a bit. Waiting for colleagues on internal hotline, then I remove my replacements. Its off first page though for now.

Good point, Scarebear - SkinTech the host. Proves to me this galaxy is bigger and more intricate to change when you go through its history like I´m doing now, there was a reason for the method to this madness, one of em being it just happened to work for years I guess. It is still being adapted to changes neglectable on a time scale with that range. Having talked to Jerry myself on a messenger today I do understand his tragic situation better which I still regret of course. The topic of history reminds of 1 thing I didn´t remember to bring up, because it was a moving and great private only conversation: I put some interview questions in your Skinbase PM box last week. It could really help new staff members and users incl. artists to just understand each other, the past, present & future of all SkinTech sites before finding their own position + viewpoint if you could put some answers in these days just for the rhetorics. Know you are busy with several successful companies of your own hosting new projects and more, if you like I could resend questionaire or do it real time, just want to make sure you got them because we are also improving the pm and mail system ;)Wink <br />

I am truly sorry for what occ. happened these days and recommend link above I put there for our clear submission policy. Monitoring of this will soon be substantially improved so I dont expect many things like that to happen at all in the future after 1 or 2 weeks of serious changes plus many users and admins have been taking turns on their own free will at no payment to keep it off front pages etc. (tip sort wallz by popularity for a change, find new great things if it happens again while we recode). <br /> <br />One thing I have also noticed. There is hardly a perfect site around, the bigger they get. I joined JU to land in a fussy mess of arguments. But I was a bit naive and knew these things from one end only, that site complex is still great. At DA for example I registered for money in vain, search function was not fixed until long after my limited membership had expired which I had only made those days as a user exactly for the search function. Then everything was about a Jark/Satiro founding fight throughout news threads on other sites I was paying for like WC, where I still read tool threads and pay for the essential skinning tools updated every week. <br /> <br />So I didnt upload to them, but here, which was easier because some others had too heavy moderation for me and SkinBase deserved support (still is a free site, if it changes that may also have advantages, whatever). When I test tools or design own sites I see people including myself constantly challenged by new obstacles. Of course I cant expect every user to look at these things from both ends. <br /> <br />And yet I see a lot of work and improvements for the future already going on deep below the surface this thread is on. Have great holidays. For me I hope to be having less watch shifts and them being regulated a bit till whatever is done to improve the general handling. If your children are young and you are in doubt, have a look yourself every once + while before deciding, always a good idea. I am a relatively new member - so what is the Policy of this site regarding the pornographic material now being displayed by skinbase.org? And if it is this sites policy to allow the display of such material then why is it not made clear to prospective members BEFORE they join. Tip: female is our default sex unless you explicitly tick male in your profile. Many were not feeling like disclosing their sex or did not have time or the will to change that which leaves em female on their base page. This is so common some of us even think, oh, new member clwoods, she might be male, whatever. Meanwhile new admins like TAXI address people wrong, joost corrected that in one of his ids, I wont get into that topic and wish him a last fair chance, and Boss019 still might be female in his or her profile whether its right or not. Just so you know how it works. This might even be a modern approach so as not to make the default sex male which could be chauvinist posture against women. We are working on codes in many sites. Ideal default sex might be N/a or whatever later on so as to avoid misunderstandings. Changing just a small field bug free can sometimes mean compatibility + matching up changes in more than 10 coherent sites, Adni and polaris, grave, scarebear pixelphreak and so forth, have been helping, me only on my own private sites but that is where I see why it can take a while, and when doing news or pr things I realize what is happening now, the past + future. <br /> <br />If moderation, only check for TOS violations. Violence + porn are fast to see, plagiates can be corrected later if less obvious. But for them, author is more liable as long as they dont optically harass no one. Many new or potential new members can be deterred by THINKING they should not even risk a turndown they wouldnt really get, we wouldnt even have to announce much of that. The guidelines ARE announced so removal of violations is less than normal moderation and that is almost selfunderstood. Whether that is before or after, I am sure you will all agree and get that going the best way. Btw, by coincidence me and grave were in contact a bit these days of a history and future calendar/Mag project. I think he is doing more than some can see on the surface. I agree with you Serge. A lot of people use multiple id&acute;s on sites and easy enough to do and hard to stop.
