Nominating a new moderator

Thanks for suggest me as member of Skinbase staff ;) <br />Why could I be a good admin ? <br />Because it&acute;s my job in &quot;real life&quot; : I&acute;m webmaster of a site of the French governement, I&acute;m the network administrator of a site counting about 600 Pc&acute;s. So Skinbase can trust in me. <br />Why not ? <br />Because of my poor english ... <br /> <br />Now you Sally :) <br />Why could you be a good admin ? <br />Because you&acute;re often here and have a good look of what is the administration of a site, because you&acute;re a woman and there is no woman in the staff and because you&acute;re in the USA and all admins are in Europe so you can take a look to the site when all others are sleeping LOL <br />Why not ? <br />I don&acute;t see ...

Serge your English is fine. You have a little bit of an accent, but so does everybody. Look at your qualifications. Even I am impressed. Why are you so worried about your English? Not understanding that cause I understand exactly what you are saying all the time. Besides, according to the poll, almost 50% of the members are European. I don&acute;t speak European.

I&acute;m not counting myself out Tobe. I know that I am charming and cute and adorable and lovable. I really, in my heart, ❤️ ❤️ think that this position would be right up Serge&acute;s alley. I have the utmost confidence in him because he is doing pretty much the same thing now. Piece of cake for him!!!!

Fact that other thing might happen, too. Suddenly I got a mail although I had not applied but told em I cared + would talk to people I thought were qualified. Hoping for the best, as you said, who needs perfect English all the times. For this thing today that started the thread a trustworthy admin can SEE what to remove, and it would be great to have such a qualified technician in the team for many things. There are really so many areas, what I did needs no admin, no language, no code {:p . More power to you all LOL :aw

Well, Tobe, I think you would be a good moderator too but thought you might prefer what you are currently doing. You could, maybe, do both.

Just a question for my own curiosity. What happens if those that apply are not really the kind of person Skinbase is looking for? Do they say oh well and go with that person or do they listen to suggestions some other people have or do they just THINK about who would be a good addition and ask them? That&acute;s a dozen question I think but you can handle it. LOL

Hi Grim!!!! I was getting ready to send you an e-mail this weekend for the new year. Have to have my grimspoon fix once in a while but I have been very good and haven&acute;t bothered you!!

Me no moderator, u said it right Sally. Only for emergencies if necessary. I had suggested sally, mq, lecrayon, ether, even joost in earlier days for various functions. Me happy with internal things, communication internal and to other sites, news, design SUGGESTIONS but even as a user I wasnt even registered less than half a year ago. What more do I want? The elder ones should always ok my suggestions if possible. Thanks for getting involved yourselves more, it really helps, we have so many sites, not just the skinbase one. Some days I spend 80per cent of time OUTSIDE of base sites to negotiate about things to help sites of ours INSIDE the complex. And if new members get passwords for EVERYTHING, they can not only do good things plus they are suspicious when other jokers mess around, so no hurry. And keep the topic up, other members, your opinion?

I have a complaint about this “new admin” situation…Sally has been pacing back and forth, the length of the entire house, while soul-searching about whether she could possibly be qualified for such an honor. Nope, that’s not my complaint…what I’m complaining about is that every step she takes, she is closely followed by the pitter-patter of little buffalo feet, which is the kindest way to describe her 20-pound Maine Coon Cat galloping behind her. By the time Sally made her decision, the very walls were shaking. <br /> <br />Oh, well….Happy New Year anyhow. :grin:
