The Contest

In our direction, I dont see the slightest problem with your sharing something in example you made, in this winter contest even a coop with permit for an image some might skin with was not forbidden so, sure. What I dont know is - do the other sites u share it at have regulations of their own also to be considered. For instance, if another site also had a contest and THEY said u cant enter to their place what u also share at Skinbase, that would outrule entering the submission in THEIR contest. This I cant monitor or control. And outside of the contest, we also welcome shares of things artists made in the way mentioned above, too. What could be informative sometimes is to say, in those events if it applies - btw. THIS thing is an EXCLUSIVE preview for SB, or a debut FIRST shared here. Or ONLY here forever. I think both things help, it generates traffic back + forth to + from other sites, the multishare, and the EXCLUSIVE thing every once and a while is ALSO helpful. From the downloader´s point of view at this point while I am writing, unlike some sites, we are still sharing even to unregistered users, and registering is still free, too. So the same share might be more attractive here in some aspects. Without wanting to aggressively suggest we should lure attractions AWAY from other sites, these things are hard to compare. Diff. sites - diff. advantages. The exact voting and jury procedures are up to the admins I think, and TAXI is not an art judge at the moment, not even suggesting features now, but hoping some of this helps as a fast info. The experienced staff members can add more, good thread. If I were a participant, although we did not forbid that either, I would try to not to win by QUANTITY uploaded, so as to give other artists a chance, too. Even outside the contests, same goes for heavy blocks of lets say 6times a wall in a row instead of what you do, zip all into 1 if its just variations, well done, btw. But its hard to agree on a general rule OUTSIDE of the contest because of things like suites, or some great artists sharing a block once a year, and also note NEWCOMERS in the past often got a little more tolerance in the beginning. The new systems allow for occasional pms explaining some of this, but this is a multilanguage site, and staff is growing, but these things take time, good will, energy, like you, most of us are doing it for FUN. What do my colleagues think of this interesting topic? (If you are new, pls read our general privacy statement, explaining what does NOT work: Violence, porn, scanned mags without permission etc., and in THIS contest its not XMAS, its winter) ;)
