New Skin and Boot Screen (Urgent Help Required)

OP
1.) Bootskin by Jamaunzie: First install free bootskin program from Wincustomize, then rename zip ending to a .bootskin file. Then either doubleclick the file which will call up the bootskin program, where you click APPLY. Or enter the bootskin program manually, click import file, then preview or directly apply, then click ok or save and a popup tells you applied successfully. Download link for program coming, winstep info too, hold on

or you can put folder in Doucuments and use your Themes manager to install you new skin

What I do is open Zip file and then exstract folder to Bootskin/Skin files in Programs

ORIGINAL NAME STAYS DIRECTLY AFTER DOWNLOADING, only ending changes. If u rename twice its not the same thing. Asked Jamaunzie to get in touch with you. If I dont know where to download, I cant test. Good luck with Jamaunzie

yeah i have that program, its installed. <br /> <br />I renamed the Zip file to 1_fishing.bootskin and opened the bootskin program, than i did file > import from file but it wont show up the renamed zip file where its supposed to be located.

The name should be the original name of the zip not your own name. Try redownloading the skin. Give us a link to the 1 u are downloading, the download page

(Of course u got the program installed I hope.) <br /> <br /> <br />The link to it has dissapeared, i only have a program called bootskin 😢

ok the zip file is now called &quot;1_fishing.bootskin&quot; <br /> <br />Ive loaded up the bootskin program and tried to import but it wont show the zip folder named &quot;1_fishing.bootskin&quot; <br /> <br /> <br /> |:| where am i going wrong

Dont unzip, rename the whole zip file to .bootskin (Of course u got the program installed I hope. What you can do if it still does not work is delete the permission .txt inside the zip if there is 1, but dont extract, then rename to a .bootskin ending

Ok so i rename the zip file or i rename the ini file within the zipped folder? I have downloaded bootskin and i have unzipped the Jamaunzie file to a folder on my sektop but now i am stuck as it wont let me import anything in bootskin from out of that file.

Ok i have unzipped the 1_fishing.bootskin to... <br /> <br />C:\Program Files\Stardock\WinCustomize\BootSkin\skins <br /> <br />Along with the other folders, is this correct?

all i need to do now is get the fishing image in better reselution, its very grainy on boot up. as was my old image of Vista
