How do i set the skin? URGENT

Y ou are not saying what the skin is you downloaded nor the section you got it from. Most skins need another program for them to work. For example windowblinds need the windowblind application. MS Styles need either Style XP or NeoThemeV2 or a cracked uxtheme dll. Until you tell us what it is you are trying to load and get more specific we nor anyone can help you. :congrats

We have a logon here spelling auqua edition. For that you need free logonstudio. Sounds like you mean something else though. Mountainhawk probably suggested the right apps. But put an EXACT link to the download page here. Then we can tell you more. ;) <br />

The skin i wish to apply is Echos from Winstep full pack.

Lalapa_95 Hi...first thing to know is that if you are trying to download lets say a windowblind you must have windowblinds instlaled to do so, (just an example). so with knowing you must have the approrpriate software installed to download the file which I assume you do, to download is very simple...lets take a logon for Logon studio...right under the logon you see 7 small boxes. The second one with the arrow going down is the download box. You simply click on it, another box will open, in the middle of that you should have 3 options...open , save, cancel. You select save and you save it to your computer. At this point you can open logon studio and load it or if depending on the file, double click on it and it loads. If you are still having problems I will be more than happy to see what I can do to help ! :Happy

i dont know how to download a skinbase,cause i click download in the options of the skinbase i want to download but,when i click it it only appears another window with the skinbase i want and no options to download it..can anybody help me???? |:|

where does the skin your downloading say wich program it needs? thats what im having issues with... (on all of the xp theme skins) cause im so new its not funny! ;)

You need either the bought or shareware version of StyleXP or you can get a free application through Neowin called NeothemeV2. If you google it you will be bound to find a copy.You can also patch your uxtheme dll. Applications such as multipatcher will do that. Instructions for all these things come with the applications. You download the ms style file and extract it to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes then either look for it in the apllication itself or in Display Properties\Appearance. You can also apply it by going to the folder in Resources\Themes and open the folder marked visual styles in the Windows Dark folder and click on the visual styles icon and Bob is your Uncle...you are in business. :Happy :congrats

Neotheme V2 or MultiPatcher will let you apply ms styles skins and is available from Neowin.net....just put a query in the search panel on their site and you will get a link to the download page. Neotheme is still available on some sites on the internet also...majorgeek.com carries it. StyleXP is the bought version but it also has shareware version and that can change icons ,transparency, toolbars etc. I find ms styles more functional than windowblinds. I have tried both. You will find your preference.

how long does the trial for windows blinda last?

I&acute;m not sure there is a time limit... I believe the trial version provides only limited skinning capabilities.
