Since is known that USA can monitor all the comunications (normal phone, cell phone, fax, email) around the world through the Echelon project no one can consider to have a private conversation anymore. And considering that I can see my house, and even my car in front of my house with google earth, I don´t want to think what NSA boys can view...
It is not just the USA...most all intelligence agencies in other countries do exactly the same thing and have done for some time in varying degrees. Here in New Zealand there is a listening post at Waihopai that uses satellite info and it also monitors cell phone and internet traffic and other telecommunications. Globally those agencies connected by treaties and agreements all share the information at various levels...to lay it solely at the feet of the United States is a little naive though they are the bigger player by population. :congrats 😎 ;)

Whilst I am wary of many politicians due to my being an ex-serviceman and politicians tendencies to create wars they do not participate in physically on the battlefield, I personally, feel, Bush and Blair did what the UN should have done long before and that, I feel, is how history will view them. 😁
Hey mountainhawk, of course it is not only USA who spyes. I was only refering to Echelon which is managed by the NSA and the british GCHQ, with the colaboration of Canada, Austalia and New Zealand. With their nods at Menwith Hill (Great Britain), Bad Aibling (militar base in Germany), Sugar Grove (Virgina, USA), Sabana Seca (Puerto Rico), Leitrim (Canada), Shoal Bay (Australia) and Waihopai (New Zealand) can cover the world. But of course, every country do it. Btw, did you know that Microsoft must send the code of, for example windows, to the NSA before releasing to the market and the NSA boys add some lines of code (nobody knows what) and then it is returned to Microsoft ready to sell ?. It scares.
Precisely....I quit worrying about it years ago...spent enough years in the military working in an operations room to know. And I frankly do not worry about it.
