Thoroughly agree Rick, though I go about it slightly differently. I regularly burn all stuff I want to keep to disk and have a substantial library. All SP2 updates are on disc and given the slowness of download at Microsoft it saves heaps of time if I need to reformat. I can have my system back in its original state in a couple of hours leaving minor tweaks to get it just right. The odd thing is that on every format I have discovered I can get by with less and less stuff... :congrats :congrats :congrats :congrats ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Both of you are SO right. Each solution is better than what most of us do. But after dragging your stuff to the next computer for the 3d time in a row, quality loss really shows. So external is cool. And have a SECOND external backup just in case. Nothing lasts forever, but the main pc itself is often what gets replaced more often, proving your point. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Backups are so essential :) Whether you store it on cd or external drive, it´s a bit of normal business process that shifted to the lounge :fun

I always keep a folder on my desktop called &quot;2copy&quot; that I stick everything in there and either burn it or send by mail to myself. As for the fotos etc of noah(my son) I send them by mail to his own e-mail address ๐Ÿ˜‚ yes he already has one at 15 months. <br />The only way to sort out windows is to reformat cause even the restore system doesn&acute;t work/or rarely fixes the problem,I disactivate it every so often and reactivate it to clear up a bit of space ()()
