Ihave at work Creative AWE32 and it works fine on my Win 2k :) I think windows detect it automaticly, but I had some problems with XP but at last also works there :) <BR>my next soundcard probably will not be craetive too :) I saw last time in action genius live 5.1 or something like that and it cost much less (about 20 usd) than creative and it plays good too ... <BR> <BR>

Ah crae.... I&acute;m just being a grumpy so-and-so ... <BR>I found some of my old midi files and got all excited about hearing them again.. My AWE has outlived three PCs, (would be four, but alas, it&acute;s reign as my #1 card is near its end.)

When I bought my new machine fifteen months ago, I grabbed the cheapest card they had, a Soundblaster 128 PCI. Cheap as hell it was and it has never given me any trouble. <BR> <BR>Translation: supported cards don&acute;t have to be expensive.

Heh, I could. But the bit that beefs me off is that I don&acute;t need it. All the functionallity I need it on the card. It feels like they&acute;re making me buy a brand spanking new card by taking away features that I paid for. Ah well, I can still listen to my oggs and mp3s through the EMU8000 (the bit that suposedly doesn&acute;t work under win2000). I just can&acute;t play my old midi files nicely. Grrrr.

Mmmm, nothing wrong with Kylie (though a bit short).
