Most of the water you see here is done with the Bryce program. There are those who use Corel Painter to manually brush the strokes in... ( That actually shows you can paint and Imagine) There´s the Flood program from
www.flamingpear.com
Might be $20 ... Not Sure PM me if ya need help

But very Useful.... You design with what you have and you can surprise yourself :o
Redfields Water Ripple comes in a set of plug ins available from Redfields site. Flaming Pear Flood Filter is another good water effect but is not freeware like Redfields however it does have a trial period which if you are like me will be enough time to convince you to buy the full version.

preview only gives you an idea of what is going to be the result... up the quality of the preview to increase the quality of the final render ( takes more time, but it is necessary ). Also you will have to go into settings and increase the quality to high accuracy if you want to get anything worth looking at... and then be patient!!!.... some renders can take hours to be made.

( In Bryce or Mojoworld they can literally take all night, so best to set them up and go to bed LOL in the morning you might not like what you see, but that´s how it works ๐ )

3D = 0.25 of your time setting it up, 0.25 of your life waiting, 0.5 of your life wasted on things that you wish you hadn´t made :winter

Jadoo.. you can´t read the tutorial a little. After five years I´m still learnign and finding out things.... I just thought it would help with your bladder problem LOL

Hi again,

I tried out Terragen and have to say that I´m impressed about the small size this program uses :)

I read the Tutorial and tried out a little, but I´m confused |:| ... the picture´s quality is not so good. I see the shapes of the terrains, mountains and the water, but it´s not clear enough. The 3D Prewiew is too much colored... Don´t know what to do so I closed the program and have a break.

Hi, thanks for your answers, too.

@ Garibaldi

There are similar options in PhotoImpact, too. I´ll try them out, maybe it works :)

@ mickeblue

Thanks for the recommendation and the link, I´ve just downloaded Terragen ๐
I don´t have PhotoImpact but it´s pretty easy in PhotoShop - Use the Filter,Render,Clouds then Filter,Distort,Ocean Ripple to get the basic water texture, then use Liquify to Twirl or create Turbulence to get the exact effect you require. Duplicating layers and adding Liquify effects to semi-opaque layers works pretty well.

:Happy I need Photoshop for flood ? ๐ ... I think PhotoImpact is similar to Photoshop, maybe there´s any option I could choose and didn´t find yet. I´ll check it out.

I use photoshop with everything even if just for SIZE changes... I made some Wallpapers on just windows draw... Depends on what you use and get comfortable with... Thats what I mean. NOW, Flood is still on that link above for 20 dollars US. But you need photoshop for that. I hope this helps :congrats
