I dont get it, is it a service for people to print our work/photos??
Gerry we are trying to get it for anyone who WANTS to get their works printed.
Just for the thick ones like me... you mean for us to have our own stuff printed, or to make prints of our stuff available? <br /> <br />Whatever I like the idea either way... I tried to get some done by a local printer and they made a real pigs earhole of the job.
In simple terms and typed slowly.....it would be images of your own work turned into posters with possibly three sizes available from a print section on this site. When posting your image you would have the option of adding it to the print section. Downloaders would then have the option of purchasing the print and a percentage of that price would be returned to the artist. Similar to what devART offers. Members could purchase a print account or maybe deal directly with the printer. Sed and I are just seeing how much interest for the service there would be on this site. :congrats
AND I cant believe that more of you would like to find a way to get your works into PRINT... We are not tryin to make money just asking the WORLD!! ,,, ..... If you have suggestions as to HOW we can get this done... Without getting ripped !! LOL
I put this Exact post on Basehead and ONE PERSON in these trades came up with some GREAT ideas... I know by putting out the "feelers" WE together can accomplish this with out any ripoff!!

Don´t understand that sed ??? I´m very interested in the idea.
We find a printer and he puts a link on the site. We individual strike an account with the printer. If people aren´t sure of what they need to do to get the optimum print then those of us with experience can help those that need it. This is what sed meant I think Mick! :congrats 😎 ;)
Makes sense now 😂 It´s gonna mean a lot of work reorganising stuff into 300dpi tiffs to get decent prints though 😢
If It requires a link we will have to bring in the big guns... Permission and all. We´ll see 😎
Ill go read the other thread. If enough are interested, we need a way to premonitor orders so as not to be gypped by the company to which its outsourced. In fact, orders should land in the authors internal box here first or something. If the percentage for the server covers additional traffic we might not even need to outsource which might not be worthwhile, who knows? <br /> <br />Artists have to be sure OUR server does not mess them up either, intentionally which is organizeable if test response or interest justify the additional scripting. Be patient, it still might be of interest a year later with a full blown campaign when there is a good moment, no contest, and no one on vacation etc. Not a bad idea, we could add it to a SkinMag which is also still an unfinished thing in the workshop for quite a while. But so many other good things came true in the mean time, all takes a bit of this and that. Lets see what was suggested next door, was a bit offline last days. :brb
Yeah hang in there FOLKS... We already have a print done, we are now looking into its feasablity :congrats ... The same thread is on Basehead if you are serious
