Yes...i use photofiltre too...it is easy to use… but that is not worth Photoshop...:D
Of course is not worth Photoshop ,Bruno. But tell me an honest thing: who needs Photoshop, when you have a good "raw" capture? Hein? I know you understand me. Photoshop is " the " application, but from my side, when I need to serious adjust things, - spceially my old BW scanned pohotos - before using PS, I use Gimp. And I make some experiments with the same capture with Gimp and Photoshop and its an hard choice. Nevertheless, Photofiltre its more than a capable contender for everyday´s work and output. |O| |O| |O| ;) ( The old battle ....) ;)
It´s like the old discussion about cameras. The past weekend, during my trimestral gastronomic meeting, one of my fellows, seeing that I only carried my dear and little S80 with me, asked me if it was enough for me to carry only that little camera to produce good captures. I said...more than enough, its not the camera that makes the image - although it´s the cameras quality that can or cannot reproduce a quality image in optical and sensor´s terms and the little S80 its an high end camera on its class - . I also said that its a challenge for myself, to photograph with it. In pratical terms, - and I am shopping in the near future for a DSL´r - when carrying my cameras with me...the S80 its the one that is more used - probably because its so challenging. But the results are so good that nowadays I practically only carry that one with me.And I know that after I buy a DSL´r, the S80 will be always in my pocket. <br />I´ve owned ,through the years, lots of cameras and equipment: lenses, motors, filters, different films, camera bodies, ( all for the sake of weight) and realized that with or without them, my sensibility , a certain amount of "eye" and a deep knowledge ( at that time) about photography, were the key factors to my images. Of course I am very keen and cautious, when selecting a camera or lenses. And, transferring this thoughts to the battle "Photoshop" versus "all others", I arrive to the same conclusion: Photoshop is a great and complete program but in practical terms and for photographic images, I do not see a real advantage, when you have an already good capture from the camera. I respect and understand my fellowmates, that like to manipulate in a certain extent, their images with PS,- its their way of doing photography - the problem is that I do not like to manipulate mine and when I do...I´ll certainly let you know. Don´t worry, be happy.... |O| |O| |O|
