I stuck with IE for ages simply out of laziness... tried Opera & Avant ( the latter isn´t bad ), but finally settled with Firefox. I don´t know about the statistics, but considering that both Windows and Linux users use it it has to be the most popular browser these days.

Mick - I wonder if it is a Firefox issue in conjunction with this site as to why I get php extensions with my downloads. Gonna have to log on with IE and see for the heck of it. A minor issue, and certainly one that would NOT warrant a switch back to IE, if indeed that is the case.

Thanks Bruno and Mick!

Sounds more like a configuration quirk with this site.

There´s realy no such thing as "the best browser", just like there´s no such thing as "the best car" or "the best TV". It all comes down to personal preferences and how well a product suits your needs or ideas.

For instance, Mozilla and brethren are resource hogs (Firefox is currently using 65 megs of RAM and Thunderbird, which is minimised, 59), but I still wouldn´t touch IE with a ten feet pole.

Well certainly I agree with that - personal opinion is the biggest factor here. Thats why I put a question mark on the title.... certainly open for opinions. Anyway, I never really did care for IE over the years, and I have tried all others - Opera, Netscape, and a bunch that run on the IE engine (IE with a different look) I liked Opera, liked Netscape (especially new one) but still - Firefox to me is better than all of them. My opinion. :D Thanks for stopping in craeonics!

Considering that SB lately doesnt agree with IE.... Which is the oldest STANDARD.... Why is it needed to change a browser? It only gets you to where you want to go..... Seems the web page should work with ANY browser. IF you people havent seen a lot of me lately .. Its because SB has been freezing up ... I have IE6... AND MY BOSS LADYs PC..... I hve no probs with DA or my main Basehead, or Win C just SB..... So why is there even TALK of BROWSERS??????? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I have heard no other complaints about freezing up here.... only your ongoing issue. Yea, I do say this site can be slow sometimes- but freezing up?? As far as talking about browsers, I posted this message under "other stuff, not skin related" because I found an interesting comparison of the two. (IE and Firefox) Conversation that all are invited to participate in or not, if they so choose. Also serves as an educational thing for some.....

Thanks for stopping by... and what did you say your name was again? :o

I have consistently used Firefox, IE6 AND 7 and K-Meleon on this site without any problem other than when it is down for maintenance. I do not understand your problem sed. Why remove the thread Fred? You have done nothing wrong nor said anything wrong.Sed...lighten up and get a sense of humour. If you are experiencing problems then from my experience it is not the browser. :congrats ๐Ÿ˜Ž ;)

Hello Iain - perhaps it is me without the sense of humor. I was simply giving some of his own humor back to him, acting like I did not know his name - as he does me, even after receiving mail from me a while back and acknowledging my name then. Then, here, he flies off the handle. Makes no sense to me. I only was going to pull this because I´m done talking with that guy. Over reacting? Perhaps....

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
