I would be interested in seeing you efforts, you can email me at vic_ern@verizon.net
If anybody has an interest, check out the site http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/color-black-white.htm it has several methods for converting color to bw, although I have not tried them yet.
Once again an interesting topic, thanks :congrats

In Paint Shop Pro I usually go to the hue and saturation > colourize option and turn the saturation all the way down, that works pretty well.

Or if, like myself, you are lazy ~ or want to play with a myriad of options for colour conversion have a look at this PS plugin ( http://www.optikvervelabs.com/ ). If this little beauty doesn´t do what you want it probably can´t be done 😂

I know exactly what you mean Artur... I have so many plugins for Photoshop, most of which I never use, but every now and again one of them proves to be really useful ~ and this is one of them.

What I particuary like about this one is that playing with the custom options allows you to either retain the light and clarity of the original, or add a controlled amount of texture and/or background noise. Some amazing effects can be achieved. :congrats
