Well done and said Iain. Thanks for the information and the point on humility. You are so right and at times I have been an ass. I have no excuse accept a disorder of the brain that´s under Rx now. Hope I live a few more years so I can learn some of these technique´s. :Happy Take care, Robert (BlackWater)

Great info Iain... remarkable stuff. Great exchange here as well. I wish Robert luck, and YES - it took courage in what he said, and taking the steps to handle the situation.

I will not rule out trying this sometime - designing wallpapers. But now my love and passion is with photography, as I learn all the time. But I always enjoy reading these threads and learning things that I would have been ignorant too.

THANKS Iain!! :Happy

Bit of a tangent here but still in the interest of keeping you alive with your art......over at majorgeeks.com you will find a little application called Autoruns 8.61. It does and shows more than MSConfig and is compatible with ME/XP. You can see every single process running on your computer...even the hidden stuff and it has individual sections like Boot and Winlogon and Internet Explorer. It can show you everything that comes online when you start up. I found two browser helper objects that I never knew were there so was able to get rid of them and my browser is now much happier. Just another very handy weapon for your system defence shield and weighs in at only seven hundred odd kilobytes...AND......IT IS MADE BY MICROSOFT AND FREE!!!! :congrats 😎 ;)

Thank you Antje and it bears to keep in mind that thepluginsite.com sends a newsletter every month via email if you subscribe on the site which is free. It contains information and links to free and purchaseable filters and plugs and has discussion topics also....very informative. :congrats 😎 ;)

A great thread you have started here, Iain ! :congrats
I have big problems reading long text without paragraphs,
BUT :

I´ve been following almost all your instructions for the last 2 years which leaves me hoping πŸ˜‚ 😎
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Iain ! I would also answer questions to anybody interested although it would be difficult for me as I use a german version of PS and don´t know the exact translation of the tools.
Anyways, I bookmark this thread ! :congrats 😎 ❀️

More filters to look out for at thepluginsite are Axion Glow and Lens Flare plug. Gives you a lot of control over the lens flare effect and you can cut out the Halo and add more spokes and reduce reflection etc. Richard Roseman´s free filter and plug sets. The sphere generator is an absolute must. The DC series is good for Border fades and other lighting effects. Remember......I found all these things with no help other than a search engine.....if you want to improve your work then only you can do that....it requires YOUR input and no one elses. Oh! Yeah....and another thing. I heard some artist complaining the other day that a lot of information gets lost in these threads. And that it should all be in one place. IT IS!!!! iN THE MESSAGE BOARD. What a shame they actually have to get of their ass and motivate themselves to look down the threads to find things. Following that line of logic they may well be asking you or I to actually produce their art for them shortly!!!!!! πŸ˜‚ :aw πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ :congrats

You are welcome Robert....I have a disease too that keeps telling me I haven´t got it. Any questions about things just leave them here and I will do my best to answer them. I will add new threads once a week if and when I am able. That took courage Robert and I appreciate what you have said here....well done! :congrats 😎 ;)
