What amuses me too is sed and I have been telling people here about MuRa filters and their capabilities for ages and even in my own thread on plugs and filters I stressed how invaluable it is. If you look at some of my earlier work and the few I have left on DevArt you will see I honed it up to quite a skilll. I do not use it a lot these days as I have moved on to other processes but it is fun. You only find these things out by exploring the things you have or can acquire. And above all you need to learn to move the settings about and experiment. :congrats ๐Ÿ˜Ž ;)

I can understand your amusement, Iain :Happy ..............
but being able to use all the powerful tools PS has to offer will be very helpful for my personal needs and the things I have planned for the future. You know I love every single filter I´ve saved on my hard drive - and I DO have a lot of them :D but to be able to do what I am aspiring to do I´ll need to learn to achieve effects without any filters at all, except for those I have created myself.

Therefore I am very grateful to have made a further step by viewing Steve´s tutorials............and getting to know PS even better than I already do. I want to command the use of the tools that PS offers FIRST before going the (relatively) easy way of using a filter. Can you understand that? โค๏ธ :) โค๏ธ

Amusement? That is humorous. Iain and I just never had a GREAT detailed tutorial like Steves but you are suppossed to learn also on your own. Trial and error like we both have done..... BUT, Thanks Steve :congrats

I don´t have a problem with anything you have said Avy. I have done exactly the same. Filters are a valid tool and are good for speeding certain procedures up which if you are working for money you need to learn to do so jobs are cost effective. In these forums I have always stressed the need to learn your applications. Plugs and filters are not necessarily the easy way out either.

Your very welcome sed...Im glad that it helped you...I made them to just try to give something back to the community. If they help one person then it was worth the time. Thanks for checking them out.

Many people appear to have difficulty finding or using the help file in applications which can give a lot of information on how to do things or resolve problems. Most help files contain information and explainations on how to create layers and mask and how to use the onboard filters for different effects. I get the feeling many times that people would prefer some of us to do it all for them. Best way to learn is to get into the application and play with it. Try everything out. Hit buttons and watch what happens. A notebook is your handiest tool. :congrats ๐Ÿ˜Ž ;)
