Hi Artur
I now shoot RAW and use the free program RAW SHOOTER. This is far better than the Digital Camera Pro bundled with my Canon 30d.

When I first started using RAW I had the camera set to RAW and jpeg but now I am used to it I just leave it set to RAW.

RAW images can look disapointing at first but you must remember the images have had no post processing applied to them by the camera and this includes shapening.

The only drawback really is the file sizes are much bigger and for sports you won´t get nearly so many shots off before you get the dreaded buffer full message.

I also shoot in raw Brett, and then develop the images either in Photoshop Lightroom or Nikon Capture NX. Its the "digital negative" and I do not mind to have big files, as those raw files are essencial to the postprocessment work. :Happy |O|

I do not know how Raw Shooter essentials works on the raw files - if in a non destructive way, as Lightroom and Capture NX - I´ve tried most of them - even Bibble Pro and Lighzone - but I´ll stick to Lightroom - with which I work 85 to 95% of the time - and Capture NX. |O|
