Vista?

I use Mac osx and Vista too... <br />Vista is nice but Osx is my favourite system...:D

I have lots of questions about Vista. <br /> <br />Are you skinning your Windows user interface with Vista MSStyles or Windowblinds? <br /> <br />Are there any serious software incompatibilities? <br /> <br />What are the problems or annoyances with User Account Control (UAC)? <br /> <br />Is Vista significantly slower than XP, using the same hardware? <br /> <br />Right now we&acute;re sticking with WinXP &acute;cause everything works great; we have XP looking the way we want, and can change it easily.

I have been using Vista for a while now, and no major problems here. The only &quot;issue&quot; I really have now is I&acute;m still waiting on a sound card driver, but other than that, no problems. <br /> <br />I turned off the UAC because it&acute;s annoying for me. <br /> <br />I&acute;m skinning Vista with WindowBlinds, and using ObjectDock. <br /> <br />Vista is not slower than XP in my opinion. In some ways it seems much faster and tend to have a lot of applications open. <br /> <br />:) <br /> <br />

I guess that will teach me to listen to other peoples advice..

I do not get caught up in the hype. XP has always done a great job for me. Vista will only enter the picture when a new PC does. And like XP - my current laptop does everything I need it to. So its XP for me for the foreseeable future! <br /> ;)

I get a charge out of those who had nothing good to say about Vista, and now they say its the best thing since sliced bread. They do more flip flopping than a fish out of water. I find it as unpredictable as the compatibility issues with Vista. |:|

I was having a different opinion in the beginning about Vista, but now that I am using this OS for some months, I say that is the best OS ever made by Microsoft! ;)

Does all the windowblind skins work with it or just some of them? It&acute;s probably already discussed somewhere but I&acute;m kind of lazy and don&acute;t want to go looking for it.. :Happy

Hi Richard. Well, a lot of the windowblinds do work with Windows Vista, but, as SkinStudio 6 or Windowblinds 6 has not been released as of yet the windowblinds to my point of view just dont look right. For example, the shellstyles. thats why I started to make my own VS for Vista, just not very happy with what Windowblinds is doing at the moment, but there is supposed to be a big improvement in Windowblinds 6..... :Happy
