Well, lets see: <BR> <BR>Litestep is FREE, but it has a fairly high learning curve. <BR>It´s a full blown shell replacement. <BR>It can do almost anything you can think of, and has hundreds of add-on modules to customize it. <BR> <BR>HoverDesk is an up and comer, that has a really loyal fan base, and has been in active development for a while now. (shareware) <BR> <BR>Talisman, as you no doubt know by now, is an extensive system with the added ability to be used as either a desktop enhancement, or a full blown shell.(shareware) <BR> <BR>Nextstart has the advantage of being one of the EASIEST programs to skin and configure. Being one of the older, more mature apps, it also has one of the largest selections of themes to choose from. (shareware) <BR> <BR>DesktopX has a faithful following too, and has Stardock (the largest commercial skinnable software company in the business) to back it up. (shareware) <BR> <BR>There´s also GeoShell, and a few others that I don´t have more than a passing knowledge of. <BR> <BR> <BR>I´d give you this advice: You have the ability to download and try them ALL. <BR>So why not try them all? <BR>(One at a time, of course) <BR>Most all shareware programs above give you 30 days to try them out. <BR>:) <BR>* But if you´re not very, VERY comfortable with your OS, I´d recommend that you hold off on Litestep.
