They were $1,dollars cheaper then any where else I looked, and its just the cheaper speakers thats the down fall and graphics card or expandable to 2G won´t cost that much, so me is happy, its the best B-Day gift I ever got from hobnobber :-)

hmmm is this a guy complaining that something is too big? if you have a laptop w/ 20 gig and think that is too big, then you are not using your laptop to the fullest of it´s ability...

No Crae/Adni, I clicked on my Display Prop. icon... has nothing to do with PS, I just use diferent resolutions. Whenever working with GFX it´s 1600 res, but when working on text, I´m back to 1024 :-)

Is this for other resolution than 1024x768 Jerry?
Why Photoshop and not directly Display Properties?

Any way, If someone with laptop will change the resolution higher than 1024x768, then he doesn´t have full screen any more.

I have done all my works in my Compaq 1800 laptop with 20GB hard Disk and 15" monitor, but as Robohead says, the only resolution of 1024x768 is killing me.
I my office I have a Mac with 80GB HD and it is always (!!!!) almost full...unbelievable! The law of Merfy. :)

I had an HP laptop for the last year. I just sold it a couple of weeks ago. It came with a 6 GB hard drive and I ran out of storage room, so I bought 20 GB drive for it. It was a nice computer, but I could only run in 1024X768 res.. I sold it and bought a desktop system (Athlon XP 1800+). I now run 1280X1024. =) That is pretty much the only reason I got rid of the laptop. I never really liked running in anything smaller than 1280. The only bad part is that now I have to modify most of my favorite Hoverdesk themes to run in a higher res.

hey Sed :)

GFX and Audio are very demanding on your resources. Example- Photoshop with multiple undos needs a good size and ´dedicated´ scratch disk. you also need a fast processor when manipulating multiple layers on higher resolution wallpapers. The list goes on!
I have recently installed XP and that alone took 2 gig of my hard disk.

Anyhow, my 2 year old workstation:

Dell Dimension P3 - 866MHrz
1x4GB SCSI main drive
1x20GB storage drive
512 MB of EC (Error Correcting) RAM
21" Sony trinitron monitor
Nvidia TNT2 32 MB graphics card
SoundBlaster Live audio card
Video Logic professional sound system

and I don´t have a laptop.. :-(
