I like the grey skin, It´s super clean. This is the first time I tried it and as soon as I put it on , the site felt bigger, and alot less clutered (which I think I thik is amazing with all the sections you guys got here ;)
good things:<BR> . skinnable site<BR> . lots of sections<BR><BR>bad things:<BR> . looks and feels messy<BR> . emptyness<BR><BR>This place could be pretty much like LOS or DevArt even if there were more people. The emptiness is the biggest problem.
I personaly see nothing wrong with this site, I like this site just as well as I like LOS, it just needs more people and I still say some how to advertise it. Everyone I talk to never heard of "skinbase"....the original skin for the site really needs to be changed, its dull and gloomy :-)
One thing I´d like to see is a larger listing in the Recent Uploads section.<BR>10 is a little small - especially when one artist ups a lot of their skins or walls at one time.
I like the site very much. I would like to be able to look at more wallpapers but there are too many to wait to load to get on with it--maybe some catagory breakdowns since they are looked at first anyway? This might be better for visitors that only wanted a nature wallpaper for example and could be turned off if the first 2 or 3 pages have all abstract or space themes. :)
hmmm I don´t see anything I don´t like... <BR>The site has the guts it needs to be sucessful, I see everything is already established here...<BR><BR>(needs more advertising that´s all that came to mind)
That helped me actually. I don´t know if it´s what gRAVE was after, but it showed me an opinion similar to mine. This site (and LOS for that matter) just needs time to grow on you. Personally, gRAVE knows my thoughts and we´re working on some of those :)<BR>

since this has been brought back up he hee, would it be possible to make the "window" to automaticly re-size to fit the screen.... I´m not sure how to put it into words, like none of the skins fit, they are all to big and I was have to use the bottom scrollbar to see whats on the right side of every page and that is a BIG pain in my ...... hummmm side! I´m not changing my resolution because I see a lot of sites with the automatic re-sizeable window? Possible? Please? or I´m going to start saying woooot woooot lol. Btw, where is china?

My left side is almost the same size in lenght :) Click on <B>Hide Empty Groups</B> in the menu (Left Side, menu Skins) <BR>
Could the left side have a scrollbar for the sections? Then it would not be so long, just a thought.
So a long list that shows every section here with a checkbox for you to pick which sections you want shown on the site? <BR> <BR>I´m not even sure how involved that would be. There are 285 sections here ;)
Mainly I would like, under user preferences, to be able to choose which sections show up. I suggested this on the old skinz.org (and on WinCustomize too). I can´t speak for most users but I only keeep an eye on typically a half dozen to a dozen sections, the rest just add confusion.
Right now it´s like the old Skinz.org where one side is hugely long and the other is not, but i don´t mind it personally; although anything that lets you chenge something is a good thing!!
Do you mean like open and close sections? Like DA has? Currently here you only have a choice between sections with content or all sections. It´d be up to gRAVE and what he can fit in, but I think that if you can make the left side of the site smaller, it has to be good :)

Martin, evidently, you´re having a small problem, because if you´re logged on correctly, the logon box disappears, and the main header should say, "Welcome, fearoffours". <BR> <BR>You might try logging off, clearing your cache, and logging on again. <BR>Oh, and make sure your password is absolutely correct. <BR>A glitch may allow you to partially logon and post and the like, but it´s just that - a glitch. If you´re logged on correctly, you should see, in place of the login box, a list like this: <BR> <BR>Logged in <BR> <BR>Choose design <BR>My home <BR>fearoffour´s stats <BR>Change Pass <BR>Edit Profile <BR>User Stats <BR>Submit News <BR>Submit Skins <BR>Logout <BR>
what i like: how hoverng over the recent submissions displays full detials of them. nice touch. save s you looking at stuff you´re not interested in.
what I don´t like: How the login box stays in the right hand panel even when you´re logged in, and there´s nothign to say you are actually logged in, as fearoffours. <BR> <BR>
what I don´t like.... that it took me so long to saty here for any length of time... <BR> <BR> often popped in here, but rarely spent the time to log in and leave posts... let´s hope this place grows.

Doesn´t Stardock use a system like that for their technical support? The chat box takes you to IRC? <BR> <BR>Looked like that to me the other day.
I think it´s possible. DeskMod (which I´m a beta tester of) has a combined chatbox/irc channel. Unless they´re faking it ofcourse.

I didn´t know computers could do that he he.... really that sounds very cool, hobnobber uses the irc, but as for me I´m too shy because I use two fingers to type and can not handle more then one message box at a time lol, so that BIG chat boxs with five different people at the same time asking you a question I get nerves and leave he hee :-) The idea sounds coooool
Uh uh, don´t unify the chatbox and the messageboard. Very different things. Though you could try to hook the chatbox up with the IRC channel.
It is very nice site with a good active members and guests with quality. <BR>As DIGI said, the look of the site needs improvement. <BR>What do you think about unification of Message board and Chat room? Just an idea.

Just a few ideas: <BR>The new site skin is great, but it makes the red text in the forum barely readable. <BR>I´d actually like to make skins for this site. If someone could make a skinning page like the one at LOS it would get plenty of use from me. <BR> <BR>I guess that´s it... There´s just not much that needs improvement. I´d be content if this place never changed. There aren´t many people here, yet the group of active members is small enough that we can all get to know each other. I guess I like that small town feeling. <BR>Thanks!
