Just remembered this one.

I wanted you use the phone, but my sister was using it at the time. I told her I wanted to use it and left the room. After awhile I
again told her I was waiting to use the phone. It seemed like hours had passed and she was still on it. Well, the macho man in me came alive and I got angry!!! My sister, in a defiant manner, began swinging the receiver in a large circular motion in front of her. I TOLD her to give me the phone, and she kept swinging it. I was so angry I stuck my finger to her face. Well.....the phone cord started to wrap around my hand, causing the receiver to change orbit and into a tight spiral. I remember saying to myself, “man that’s really weird”. The receiver hit me in the center of the forehead and caused a leak in my skin that took 4 stitches to close at the local ER.

The moral of this is; don’t argue when you are angry, and above all, keep your hands to yourself.... or YOU may cause a “pause in your life.”

One thing you should know. :) These are true events that come directly from the pages of my life. I assure you that at the time of the event, all feelings were present, pain, anger, humility, etc... It only becomes stupid and funny after the fact. :) :) :-) This proves to me that life is a joy and at times very funny. All we have to do is recognize it. :-) :-)
/koasati: I sure do like that peace pipe.
/elwin: I´m not in contention for your hat and bells. After all I have all of these stupid looks on my face...hehehe :-)

That made me think of this one.

The guy yelled....SHUT UP! I thought he said "Stand Up"

The moral here is; make sure you understand what is said to you BEFORE you make any sudden moves...or YOU may cause a pause in your life......:)

Here is another one....

We were freshmen in high school, when an outing to the beach was scheduled for the freshmen girls club. Three of us guys decided to “ditch” school on that day and peddle our bicycles to the beach, which was some 20 miles east and a little north of the school. Keep in mind that we were macho men and that distance was no more than a walk in the park.

I had a slow leak in my front tire and had to fix it before we left. Which I did, but all the while talking to my 2 friends about what a great time we were going to have.

Now the BIG day comes and off we go to the beach. We had to peddle through the business section of town and in doing so we rode the main street. People all around and plenty of traffic. I decided to “pop a wheelie” and when I did, the front wheel came out of the fork (I had no fenders) and it rolled freely through traffic. I in turn, went butt over bars and landed in the street. I wasn’t hurt. I was humiliated!! We finally got the wheel and bike back together and continued on to the beach.

The moral here is; ALWAYS be aware of the situation around you, fantasizing with your friends and taking your mind off the job your doing could cause “a pause in your life”

Oh, and yes, WE all had a VERY good time at the beach.
