OP
and since we´re here, what are the mask images used for, and do they have to be included to make a blind work properly? I´ve noticed they are often black and grey but why do we need them? And...... I want window gizmoz to add to my (new) winblind in development...... does anybody have some plugins/widgets/gizmos they´d like to share?

um....chance....I don´t know what u mean by install (double click setup exe)....but after you setup windowBlinds, you´d have to right click on your desktop (or go through the control panel) to access your display properties.....Your window blind skins are located under the appearance tab and from there you´d change the skins, like you would the color of your window schemes..... did that help? is that what you meant?

The mask images are used in making the skin color customizeable. They are not needed for a skin to work.

You need to install the software from StarDock first. Get it here: http://www.windowblinds.net/

Once installed you can use the skins from here I believe. Only difference is that not everything is skinned unless you purchase/register the software. Someone can tell me if that´s wrong ;)

your correct, unless you buy it, it skins very little................... since this thread came up, any one have WFX? It is tearing the hell out of my computer......... you know the problem I was having with the HTML coding on my site? Well load and behold, FX was the problem, it was changing all my tags, removing my tags and adding extra tags every time I opened a folder on my site............... SOoooooo I UN-installed and REMOVED the dam thing, and yes I´m positive it was doing that, cause now I have no problems with my site work or even certain programs could not open even my c/drive would not open............ NOW everything works just fine........ I don´t mind a bug or two but this was Dam rediculios..................... yes I´m made, I went through hell for over a week, and yes it was the latest version!!!!!!

I believe it´s Windows FX.
A program that does transparency, shadows and other special effects for Win2K and XP.

WFX is a Stardock program :-) I´ve been using the HTML manager that my site offers to use for two years now............. now that I un-installed the WFX program, I can go into my folders and edit my HTML file with out it all being changed....... WFX was the last program I installed on my computer when this problem started, so after 6 days of fighting this problem, I un-installed WFX and now no problem when editing my HTML file..........
