Sloooooowwww...

I´ve been having the same problem lately Snow. Old menu style. it´s been like that for about 1 week.

I have the new menu system for me; for a while the menu wouldn´t display at all, but I unchecked everything, then changed my profile, then checked it again and now it works fine. But the site is still very slow.

pogz: are any of the sections &quot;opened&quot;?! If so close all of them, specially the &quot;Productivty&quot; and &quot;Misc&quot;! They take an extremely long time to load. <BR>If all is closed and the site still is slow, log out, delete any Skinbase cookies and log in again. <BR>If that still doesn help then stop all your pr0n downloads in KaZaa....... 🌙 ;) ;) <BR> <BR>Brub, I actually don&acute;t remember how the old menu looks like ;) but grave might be doing some work in the background which will make the site generally a bit slower. <BR> <BR>And for the rest of us.... Skinbase are receiving more an more visits and the more Baseheads that is on the site, the &quot;slower&quot; it will be. There are constantly between 50 and 100 visitors on the site dependeing on the time of day :) :) (but only around 10% are registered users)

Are you using the new or the old style menu?!

I can&acute;t log out, I actually click on the Log Out link with no result I just come back as my old self. I would have to find the cookie and eat it if I don,t want Skinbase to recognise me. <BR> <BR>I&acute;m stuck in skinbase forever. and the only chicks are married. Damn me too :/ oh well!

Hmmm...got a 2400 modem [that&acute;s 2.4k] somewhere...;p

You should log out (yes - you can do it!) and view the main page of Skinbase. Lots of features removed for non-members. You want it all, you become a member huh ;)

Well, something was done, loads fine now at my end, and I needed a lot of patience lately :). Kudos, gRAVE.

gRAVE is working on this with some possible changes coming soon to the site for non-members. As they use most of the bandwidth, Skinbase might make changes to what a non-member sees on the index page and the ratings pages. The less they see, the less resources used and the better off we all are. <BR> <BR>We&acute;ll see how we go :)

I&acute;ve not been able to load Skinbase at all for the last two days. I got in today but it took approx.1.5 mins to load and the &quot;done, but with errors on page&quot; appears in the bottom left corner. :(

I closed all the groups. That helps a lot. <BR> <BR>&quot;Brought to you in 0.36 seconds&quot; (but im at school now..)

I use the old style menu. A connection like mine and waiting for all those icons to load can cause me to fall asleep ;) <BR> <BR>Plus you can choose to not show empty groups which can quicken your load time.

Once I have a page opened, though, like this comment page, it only takes 40 secs to load... :P

Go PK!!! Nope, no sections open, just the main page, now taking 69-75 seconds to load... Even w/o the pr0n downloads :P hehe.

Opening my junk draw - Peeking inside - Noticing my dusty 56k v.90 Modem - Picking it up - Blowing off the dusty layer - Inserting it back in its place - Closing the junk draw... :)

Dial-up, that still exist :)

gRAVE was working on the site a little today actually ;) A bug fix here and there. We&acute;ll have to look into the load times though. I know I can feel it on my dial-up at times. <BR> <BR>No dial-up jokes please ;)
