Hey Red, I use ShellOn all the time. It works great and it also catches shell crash´es. So if whatever shell you are running decides to crash, ShellOn pops up and asks you which shell you want to use again. I´ve been using it for a couple of years now. Nothing better in my opinion. :)
ok ok ok I miss understood when I first read this, need to wake up before answering LOL /me just uses the changer that came with the program itself....... Robo is this freeware? I think ShellOn cost?
It´s freeware chichi. :) At least the version I have is free. I haven´t checked for a newer version in over a year. I currently have version 2.30.
Thanks Robohead :-) I had downloaded it a long time ago and don´t remember if it was free or not so I haven´t installed it yet LOL ..... maybe I´m thinking of some other one that Elwin told me about, but it cost.....
It´s still free and still good...;)
We went with ShellOn. 8) Working good so far. :D
Does this ShellOn also save your desktop settings when switching? I hate it when it re-arranges all my icons on my desktop.........
ShellOn has nothing to do with the icon positions on your explorer desktop. they will stay at the same positions.
There are other programs to do that tho. www.VirtualPlastic.net has a few. I can get a link if you can´t find them. 8)
What I mean is that after I have switched my Explorer Shell to my AstonShell and then switch back to my Explorer Shell it throws my icons all over my desktop and does not replace my wallpaper, so I was wondering if ShellOn does the same or keeps the desktop settings........
That has more to do with your shell itself, than witht he shell manager. Not every shell uses desktop icons (my current Litestep setup for instance doesn´t) and each shell probably handles them differently.

At any rate, Carapace 0.5 is out, so /me won´t even look at ShellOn.
I´m going to try that out too. It looks really sweet, and ShellOn is so... white!! :]
