Believe me Scarebear, I don´t know what kind of connection you have, but WC is very fast, I think is the faster from those you mention.
Wow! I have a 56k modem (don´t laugh now) and for me LOS and skinbase load slowly. nothing too bad though. DA is better then it has been but is still slower and WC is about the same as DA for me.<BR><BR>Maybe I´m too far away too ;)
Maybe...and my modem is 56k too, but for examble, right now, I was waiting about 2-3 minutes(!!!) to see this page. That´s life I guess ;)
It does seem to depend on where you are I´m guessing. I have a Canadian friend that says WC flies for him and skinbase is slow. I have another friend who has the same deal as me. WC is slow and so are the other skin sites.<BR><BR>As long as it isn´t just me :)
It does ssem to me that skinbase has been getting slower. I am on a cable modem connection and the pages take longer and longer to load...
Well, I live out in the ´boondocks´ and the best conection I can get out of my 56k is about 28.8, so most sites seem slow, if not downright impossible. But it does seem to me that Skinbase is lagging lately...
Hello world :)<BR><BR>I notice too last few days that skinbase become much slower even for me and I have direct connection to skinbase server. The problem was that Mysql server overload system CPU. MySQL tooks about 98% of system resources. So, I deceide to optimize te code, mostly there where I use mySQL and that was a many times. I found one major bug which could make this cpu overload. I think the site should be faster now. Right now 15 users are online i have to see speed when will be online about 30 users. Btw. mySQL takes right now about 10-15% of system resources.<BR>Please inform me more if you notice any progress in speed or not.<BR><BR>P.S. I notice no change. But that´s because my poor old p75 spends more time parsing a page than actually loading it. And thanks to gRAVE´s bug squashing I can finally post again!
