I´ve paid for a lot of programs, but hardly any of them are skinnable....... <br /> <br />But I earned AstonShell and love it, easy to use and easy to skin. I haven´t had any crashing with any program using AstonShell, not buggy either. <br /> <br />I´ve paid for Microgarden Themebar, love this program, and easy to skin, no crashing using this either. <br /> <br />Paid for cough cough ObjectDesktop!
hmm only program that i´ve actually paid for was NextSTART and i loved it soo much. <br /> <br />that is until i started using litestep!--lol
I´ve never payed out money for any shareware and I´d probably never will, I belive as a decent skiner that If I take my spare time and make a good skin for a program that company should recognize that I spent a good amount of time in this art that there makeing money off, if you think about it our skins make half the program so I think it´s only fair that skiners get a free copy with free updates considering it´s us who make the software realy desireable with our hard work (o)
I dunno if I wanna buy ObjectBar. $20 for the damn thing. Ugh! ❌ I want the taskbar look like XP taskbar. I´m stuck with Wins 98. :| I can have 1/2 Wins 98 & XP. I can´t afford all Object Desktop. It´s expensive. Astonshell looks easy to use. I´m gonna stick with WinBlinds cuz there are awesome skins I like. :) <br />I tried NextStart. I didn´t like it. LOL
I bought both NextStart (twice - one for my wife´s computer!) and Object Desktop. Both are great, and I´ve gotten a lot of enjoyment from them. I´m currently in my ´disgruntled´ stage and don´t know what to use. I´m sort of using Object Dock and NextStart on one machine, but have stuck to plain old vanilla Windows XP on another. I´ve recently played with LiteStep and Object Bar again in hopes that I could get what I want, but gave up in a fit of lazyness!
Taylon, /me hears you :-) with AstonShell you make one skin in 30days and it´s your to keep with all free upgrades..... no rental fees I call it when you have to pay for it every year.........
I use all freeware but what my computer came with, and what work bought me. <br />I will buy games when they get reasonable or I see a deal.
