MAC user needed!!

first of all you need StuffIt v7. it´s no longer available at their site in English, but i´m sure you can handle the German version. <br /> <br />then get IconShop as HartAttax said. get the latest beta version. it´s better and more stabel than the regular version. check the Iconshop documentation how to convert MacIcons and adjust the Stuffit settings as described (never-always-never). <br /> <br />drag and drop the SIT file on StuffIt. then you will get a new folder. drag and drop this folder on IconShop. <br /> <br />work from screenshots instead of exporting to BMP as Iconshop uses a built-in color palette for 8bit BMP export. <br /> <br />check your mail folder. i explained all this to you one year ago ;)

oh... hehe yeah you&acute;re right moshi, I have asked about this before but since I haven&acute;t been getting any younger since then I tend to easily forget stuff.... (<b>no jokes please Scarebear/crae </b>:P ) <br /> <br />But no matter what I do I can&acute;t get anything dragged from StuffIt into Iconshop . I have tried both SE v7 and v8 but still no luck. <br /> <br />Working from screenshot is an option but those available are very tiny and really not showing anything :/ <br /> <br />Ill be fiddling around with the various setting untill I get some useable files..... some time..... some day... (any day?!)

you have to drag the new folder you get after extracting onto IconShop. the settings in StuffIt 7 (forget v8) in the cross-platform tab (advanced options) should be: <br />never <br />always <br />never <br /> <br />i´m speaking of taking screenshots of the Iconshop window, not of the preview images at Kaleidoscope.net <br /> <br />but if it still does not work: about which scheme are you thinking? and what application do you want to skin?

snow I&acute;m sorry I also tried but got no where (as I said I have not invested much time on my mac) I did not see any options like they said on the mac expander program either <br /> <br />I sent you an ss of what I was looking at when I opened your file thinking I would be able to re save the images into bitmaps but they were a bunch of little bits and pieces??? not even ss&acute;ing them and resaving them would have worked on my end... <br /> <br />and I have not had much time to google a solution...

just read the Iconshop documentation of converting icons ... getting the Kaleidoscope images works exactly the same way. <br /> <br />i doubt any Mac user can help you btw. as Kaleidoscope does not run on OS X and the best resource hacking programs for Mac are not available on OS X either. <br /> <br />i got the images long ago, so can you. A manual means the app is poorly designed and does not provide the necessary affordances for proper use. <br /> <br />Whoops, my designer side got the best of me there.

i doubt that extracting Kaleidoscope resources is Iconshop´s or StuffIt´s main goal though :) <br /> <br />it´s only checking three radioboxes correctly, the rest is drag and drop.
