etype, the fact that your walls was removed from Skinz´s verification had <b>nothing to do with moderation at all</b>. They were removed because the preview images was "busted" - just showing the "red cross"!!! <br />Whenever a submitted piece is deleted from the verification an email is sent to the user (if an addy is available) telling him/her that his/her piece was removed. <br /> <br />Didn´t you get the emails?!?!?!? <br /> <br />The reason the previews was "bad" was because you more than likely used "spaces" in the names for the images for the preview! <br /> <br />How do I know that? I am the "gate keeper" over at Skinz :) <br />And for the last couple of months not a single upload have been deleted because of "suckyness". <br /> <br />So, please try again, but use filenames without spaces :)

That´s nice to know. <br />Last submission was Renewal. No spaces,Lumina 2 would have a space though. <br />Did not receive any emails. <br /> <br />My 4 files were not removed,they never showed up. I resubmitted Lumina 2, 3 times and no response from Skinz. <br /> <br />I feel better now. Will resubmit with no spaces,lol. LOL

Snow there is alot of dead links on skinz.org and if ppl are trying to get their old passwords they can´t things like that... <br />I got hit hard when I tried to resign up over there w/ alot of junk mail which is why I stayed away from the site, but oh wellll they got my e-mail anyways which is why I started visiting again, but strange feeling over there though... <br />(you need to lay some carpet and hang drapes or something) hehe =)

We´re fixing stuff here and there + adding tons of new stuff too, so dont you worry, you´ll get new carpets, draps, wallpapers.... aw what the hell.... we´ll prolly throw in some new chairs too ;) :] <br /> <br />but that´s to come in the future, we dont know when all this will be finally done :)

I had similar things like u did... <br /> <br />I have this Darkblue Wallpaper wich got a metal and 1400 downloads, that is not 2 bed, I tried it 2 upload it at wincustomize (also the new one wich is actually not 2 bad i think) but they didnt let me, at least i got a STANDARD email telling me my wallpaper is 2 MODERATED... <br /> <br />I´ve seen much worse stuff on their site! It totally depends on the moderator how it will work out - I mean can one single person(or even 5 or 10) with a ceratain taste decide about art???? <br /> <br />/me voted against it just because i had bad experiences with it :-) <br /> <br />(oy great snowman please tell me 2 that it was not my bad artwork ^^ :))

I just know someone edited out the juicy details from his posts, a view posts up. <br /> <br />Anyhow, moderation is always depended on who´s the moderator. At the old skinz.org, there was one moderator, Shoggot, so all works would be rated by the same guy, by the same standards (drift over time and moodswings not withstanding). This is not the case at other sites, so you see that certain admins let things in that others reject and the other way around. <br /> <br />Moderation is good though, if applied right, because since a lot of people don´t enforce self-restraint with their works, the admin has to take care of that to keep the standard up a bit.

Xenu, at the moment there are <b>no moderating</b> of any uploads at Skinz.org, only rips or plain stupidity is "moderated" (read: BAHLETED!!)

I know it from myself... when I started, well I must say I really did some stupid wallpapers and uploaded them because - well I of course liked them! and I wanted 2 be part of this community and so on... <br />I still woudnt do moderating, I mean everybody has 2 start somewhere and my first uploaded wp was just FUN FUN FUN.. But these "uploadspammers" which are uploading EVERY version of their (mostly not very special) wallpapers... well I´d say that should be arranged.... <br /> <br />(snowman, I was talking about www.wincustomize.com - not skinz! - btw. thanx for the feedback, first i didnt check that with the spaces :)) <br />
