Multiple uploads

hmmmm How did the word &quot;Rules&quot; get in this conversation? <br />I know I did not use the word rules....... Let&acute;s go back to the word &quot;RESPECT&quot; <br /> <br />1. Show respect toward <br />2. Courteous regard for people&acute;s feelings <br />3. A feeling of friendship and esteem <br />4. Behavior intended to please your parents <br />5. A courteous expression (by word or deed) of esteem or regard <br /> <br />I don&acute;t believe any one here including myself was putting either Alex & Treetog down and the comments here have nothing to do with their business either......... I think it&acute;s silly to defend 192 uploads in two days, one has to ONLY use common sense or respect and this topic would have not been posted in the first place. <br /> <br />First off there are no rules here pertaining to this topic........... But there has been conversation on starting &quot;Moderation&quot; and talk about some people &quot;Flooding&quot;........I don&acute;t think its wise to even start these actions if its okay for this one to flood but NOT ok for weboso to flood or others. <br /> <br />Fairness/Respect/Courteous/Behavior seems to some here these words having meaning for some and not for others to live by.......... If one has to sit for&quot; 2 or 3 hours &quot; to upload because they have (((( NO time ))))) snicker, then ask skinbase if its ok and then make an announcement that there will be accessive uploads by.... so and so instead of throwing your weight away of who you are, we all know that, I&acute;m sure its not about Jealousy or anything of that nature....... Respect others nothing more nothing less :-)

I come late in this debate and I had no time to read everything with due attention but there is something nagging me : <br /> <br />The &quot;Flood as much as you want so long that&acute;s not Wallpapers&quot; stuff :o :o :o . <br /> <br />I don&acute;t think there is great damage done by flooding. That&acute;s part of the game. That&acute;s this rampant discrimination that feels unfair.

Well and although some of my Windowblinds are from pixtudio ( either from Alex or treetog ) and although I am very happy with these works, I completely disagree with doreen and her justification for it (&quot;treetog and Alenxandrie have earn the right to break the rules &quot;)... <br /> <br />In terms of respect for others, ( in every aspect of life ) anyone is allowed to break rules , either it is related with serious or non serious matters. <br /> <br />Its a question of principle...and respect for others. <br /> <br />I said that we should not make a big fuss about this issue but some of the comments posted are by themselves, self explanatory. <br /> <br />Again, its not a question of being or not being great skinners . <br /> <br />But ... each one has its own opinion,feelings and consideration towards others. <br /> <br />Over and out :-) :brb

I have read Doreen&acute;s post too (wow it&acute;s popular) and for the first time in my life I can&acute;t agree with doreen *snik*. First of all I think noone is allowed to break the rules and second when you should be you shouldn&acute;t do it out of respect for the other skinners. Not only your quality but also the way you behave make you to the skinner you are..>

OK folks as you may have noticed, Pixtudio is not listed as last months winner as &quot;Top Uploader&quot;. <br />As treetog requested, weboso got the top spot, since he was the second on the list and was the &quot;real&quot; winner. <br /> <br />Anyways, thank you treetog/Alexandrie (Pixtudio) for uploading all you fab works here at Skinbase :D <br />And please do keep&acute;em coming! :)

Hi Snow, I think that the issue here was not if Pixtudio ended in first or second place of the May monthly statistics... :-) <br /> <br />For me , that was the least important matter ;)

hehe wellll I&acute;m sorry it sounds aweful but the fact is there is exceptions to the rules in life... (there has to be) there is no such thing as perfection anywhere and rules is no exception to &quot;that&quot; rule... <br /> <br />prob is when someone such as Alex & Treetog come along and are above the rules (for valid reasons) there is alot of jealousy and animosity towards them even though they do not deserve that for being good at what they do... <br /> <br /><b>Facts:</b>They need to be the exception to the rule here cuz their work needs to be avail here, and they both make huge quanities of <i>great quality work</i> and don&acute;t have huge amounts of time to keep coming back here to upload 3 at a time... <br /> <br />(what do I know about breaking the rules? Well...... I have traveled through life, with all of the ups and downs it has to offer.... and I <br />found out a long time ago...... Omg, what a bunch of nothing. Words about words, abstract arguments going on, while the whole point was ignored. Renato said he was behind, busy guy as always, then wanted to get even, upload all work here too. No rules, circumstances. It&acute;s clear he&acute;s got no intention of flooding at all, so why give him that response ? <br /> <br />(that&acute;s like cheering Doreen and repeating her in different words, yes...)

I like the idea of a &quot;Flood Day&quot;. Keeps things fair and prevents mass uploaders from bumping other&acute;s work into obscurity.

I want ToonXP to be a free skin suite. I&acute;m waiting for WinBlinds 4 to come. First things first - WinBlinds 4. :) Pixtudio does wonderful job on skins. Thanx. :)

And SteV, I don&acute;t think the two artists that make Pixtudio, uploaded to &quot;win&quot; like you call it. They don&acute;t need a button showing, they are already more than kown in the real skinning community. Technically though, the real &quot;winner&quot; sjould be that Weboso guy because it&acute;s new artwork he uploaded and not updates.

Brub according to you 190 artworks in 2 days I just think is too much. Like I said before spreading it out would be better for everyone I think. I didn&acute;t know Pixstudio was Alexandrie and Treetog and so I have to give you right they don&acute;t do it to &quot;win&quot;. But I msut say I still haven&acute;t uploaded my full archive here and I could have done that in 1 day. It are around 30 pieces. But if I did that other works wouldn&acute;t have been seen and I don&acute;t want that to happen. As a designer I know how much work a piece can take. Everything needs full attention..>

Hy BruB, no doubt that Pixtudio, through treetog and alexandrie are well known &quot;true and real &quot; skinners. I like very much their works - specially their WB skins. No doubt about that. <br /> <br />But...flooding is not the wisest and respectable way of doing it. They could start to do that , since the beggining of the month. Besides, it seemed to me that some of the skins - the biggest part of it - specially in Windowblinds - are even not updates from the original ones. So, I assume - probably wrong - that they had all those works in stock, which means that they could uploaded it not all in a row. <br /> <br />But let&acute;s not going to make a big fuss about this. <br /> <br />I only manisfested my opinion which is exactly the same as previously stated: That&acute;s no way of doing it. And I don&acute;t care if the uploader is a well known and respectable &quot;true and real&quot; skinner or not. <br /> <br />We are all here to share works with others ,no matter the &quot;size&quot; and technical skills of each one. <br /> :-) ;)

I have only uploaded 202 artwork in almost 2 years here. I guess this point is not towards me :) <br /> <br />Anyway, In all my time here, i&acute;ve never seen huge flooding, except this month. 2 members flooded the inbox. it&acute;s a rare thing in here don&acute;t worry. I think the worst one before that was me with something like 11 photographies. :brb

First of all, this is treetog here. :) <br /> <br />As most of you know, we make non free skins and at this point we want to share the most of our free skins. I promissed gRAVE long time ago that I would upload all our stuff here and never did, because uploading a bunch of skins like we did (and still have more to do) is a pain, too much time consuming. Till now we allready spent a couple of hours doing that... <br /> <br />My point is, sometimes I see people complainting that we do not make free skins and when we go share free skins, people complaint that we are flooding a site, so I begin to wonder, &quot;damn you if you do and damn you if you don&acute;t&quot; (this was the title of thread that Dangeruss posted over WC a few years ago). I feel that people are never happy. <br /> <br />We didn&acute;t make that just to have our link button here and I totally agree with Brub that thinks that the winner should be another person. If I can make a request, I would be happy to see weboso&acute;s button there, he did a good job and deserves it. ;)

I am happy you are posting your art for free Pixtudio. You make some nice work. And about the uploading, I can live with it. As long it doesn&acute;t happens in the wallpaper category ;)

Pixtudio is a well respected group from our ocmmunity. Treetog and Alezandrie are some of the best skinners around the www. I&acute;m not saying that it&acute;s right, but they where updating their work to show. and with the amount of skins theses two artists have pumped over the year there was not any other way to do it. <br /> <br />GT is right thought 190 skins in 2 days is not the best thing to happen. But this site was build for Skins and it&acute;s refreshing to see other stuff than Wallpaper and Dock Icon. <br /> <br />Tips and tricks from an admin: <br />1. Look who&acute;s online, if it&acute;s someone that usually upload 4-5 artwork at the same time, when a few minutes to see what&acute;s happening. <br /> <br />2. If You art is pushed away by a flood, delete the artowrk, wait until the flood is finish and re-upload, takes 5 minutes extra but your work is on top. <br /> <br />3. If your work is liked and deserved to be seen, it will. <br /> <br />Hope I could help :)

I think its disrespectful, no matter who it is or how you want to slice it....... If favoritism is going to sneak on in over here, then moderation is not going to work here either, it will just be like all the other sites constant arguing ........ I thought this site was the only site left that treated every one equal, and Brub you were one of the very first here that had a fit over flooding, you did not like it when your upload got burried...... I have nothing against treetog, but it was damn disrespectful towards every one here.... <br /> <br />My attitude here has nothing to do with who won the most uploads for the month either......... <br />

Disrespectful? <br />Alex & Treetog not only have earned the right to be able to break the &quot;rules&quot; but they are the ones that set the bar for other skinners to strive for... <br /> <br />A site such as this needs their work on it, and even if it&acute;s 500 ups that come in at once, a &quot;Thank you&quot; should be in order, (cuz these two have no time to try to ration the uploads, specially when there is so many) <br />so there needs to be exceptions in certain rare cases such as this... <br /> <br />Does it sound fair? no <br />Is it fair? no <br /> <br />but then life ain&acute;t fair either...
