When Nullsoft is concerned, I have this hunch that the leaks are usually the devs themselves.

From what I can see from running it for an extremly short period of time (was busy with other stuff), it´s plain old WinAmp2 with a freeform skinning plugin. Still have to check how that one works.

I haven´t tried, but from what i´ve read it has memory issues. I´m hoping they can get that down to size. One of winamps strong points is how easy it is on resources. If they base Winamp 5 (2+3) on Winamp 2 but have the memory usage of winamp 3, then they´ve shot themselves in the foot. This is just an alpha though, and they have good coders, so they should be able to work on that.
