Personally i think inverting the image looks just like a negative, but if you need to fiddle around with it the best way is probably to change the Hue: image>adjustments>hue/saturation (CTRL+U) <br /> <br />SleaK

Hmm, yeah, plain inverting the image should be the same as a negative. Anyhow, listen to sleak if it doesn´t seem to work.

Or depending on the color you´re working with...try difference, exclusion, or luminosity located in the drop down menu next to opacity in the layers pallete....That will also give you some sort of inverse or grey effect...than you just adjust your colors accordingly through...CTRL U as Sleak said
